Impressive Razor for the Money
This is my second Zertone straight razor. I liked the first one so much that I purchased a second one to fill out my 7 day razor set. This is one of those under the radar deals. The one that I received has a long gouge in one of the wood scales, but that is a minor cosmetic issue. I'll probably rescale later with either horn or bone. The hinge pin was loose and needed peening a bit to tighten it up. Now the blade doesn't swing freely. The blade edge is straight and properly profiled. It came sharp and just needed some stropping to get it shave ready. Very impressive at this price point. I was prepared to run it through the stones and wood strops, but it didn't need it. Does it match my Dovo? No, but it seems to be made of decent steel and is a fraction of the price. If you do your part you will get a nice smooth shave with this razor.

Great for First Time Users
I'm new to using a straight razor for shaving and I wasn't sure what kit to get. I took a chance on this kit and was impressed with the products. The strop does a good job working out any burs on the razor. The razor comes sharp, and the blade feels balanced. Handle is simple, but does it's job. The brush does a great job applying shaving cream. Would buy again.

Amazing value
This was my first straight razor however I am an avid knife collector and am pretty familiar with blades and steel types. I didn't wantt to spend too much as I wasn't sure if I would stick with it. I am really impressed with everything in the kit. The brush is nice the strop is well made and the razor came uber sharp. The blade is very nice. The handle is a a simple plastic k I nd of cheap but the quality is there where it counts. I will continue to practice and once I get really good (and hopefully don't ut my throat) O will spring for a more expensive razor. I will rotate this one to my travel kit. I would recommend this kit to anyone curious about man shaving. It will get you thereCheers!!

Very good value!
Gave this to my boyfriend for valentines day and he loved it! He asked me to help him with his hair line and I admit I was terrified but this blade was so easy to use and left a fine smooth shave! 10/10 🤗

Ive had better
Its a beautiful piece and nicely balanced but not even close to sharp. I stropped it 150x and it was still dull as a butter knife, I had a professional sharpen it for me and it still could not hold its edge. I reached out to the company but got no reply.

Meh.....
The good: the actual blade is good quality and sharp. The bad: everything else. The lather brush is plastic with poor quality bristles. The handle of the razor handles are plastic and cracked on the 1st use. The "leather" razor carrier is vinyl and after I used it once it left sticky residue on the handles. The strope is functional but cheap as well. The only reason I gave it two stars was the blade itself was functional

Buyer beware this company !
The media could not be loaded. Ok, problem number one. The supposedly included shave brush was not included. Won’t happen to you? Probably will, as I don’t see a place in the box that would accommodate it.Problem two is that the quality on the strop is very low. I can’t honestly say if it’s plastic as opposed to leather, which tells you a lot. And the metal part is about the gauge of a reasonably sturdy wire coat hanger, which is good enough for hanging a shirt, but not to hold a strop in place. But here’s the real issue. The razor itself just isn’t sharp. Out of the box, it was sharp enough to shave the light hair on my arm, but not the tougher stubble on my face. And that was the high point. I haven’t been able to get enough of an edge on it yet to shave with it. And this is using a quality strop that I purchased elsewhere. I take responsibility for any shortcomings in my technique, but I think that more of the problem at this point is with the blade than with me.In my video above, you can see that the razor doesn’t take off a bit of the hair on my arm. In contrast, I also show the way that just a little sweep from a very modestly priced razor that I use takes the hair right off. I try to show how I can just grab the cut hair right off of my arm with the old blade, as opposed to there being no cut hair to pick up with this one. It’s possible that if it were professionally honed that routine stropping would keep the edge, but I can’t speak to that yet. I’m not entirely lacking in straight razor shaving technique, as I routinely shave with a straight razor with changeable blades (properly called a shavette), so the inability to use this blade to shave is not attributable to lack of shaving skill. The company shows absolutely no interest whatsoever in backing up their product, so I would be careful about buying their product. It’s inexpensive, so if it doesn’t work for you, it probably won’t bankrupt you, but it’s always frustrating to buy a product that doesn’t work. If you decide to give it a try, be smart and keep your box etc, so that you can return it to Amazon, if that is what you need to do.

Very good razor
After I received my razor I did a little light stropping, then had a very good first shave. This is a heavy blade, and it feels good in the hand. I'm very happy, for the price.
