Wilton No-Taste Red Icing Color, 1 oz. - Red Food Coloring

I was finally able to get the red on my buttercream that I wanted for Valentine's Day. It took quite a bit, maybe 1/4 ounce for 2 cups of buttercream. I did pre-tint the frosting with a couple drops of pink gel coloring. I then used the microwave method where I microwaved for 10 seconds at a time, stirring between each microwave, until it got to this red color. Yes that will partially melt your buttercream, but just stick it back in the fridge for a few minutes and it will be fine (my rose is a little droopy here because I got impatient). There is no taste at all, unlike Americolor or Wilton's other reds. Very happy!

This gel worked beautifully for making red velvet cake. A little goes a long way, the color is super potent. It did not change the consistency of my cake, since it wasnt a liquid. Would purchase again.

Product did exactly what was promised. We created a beautifully-brilliant red-frosted cake with only the taste of the buttercream frosting coming through. Guests were wowed by the taste of the cakes and their color.

This red is harder to find in stores so was delighted to see it here for a reasonable price and fast shipping. Was fresh, not expired.

Great product that has great red color with no aftertaste

I use this food coloring with royal icing. I used about a third of the container to get this true red color on about 1-1.5 cups of frosting. I am very happy with the color I achieved. (It didn't look at all pink, which sometimes happens when attempting a red.) But I do wish I didn't have to use so much product to achieve the desired color. If you need true red, this is the way to go.

Perfect! Exactly as expected. I love Wilton Gel products and their concentration makes baking easy and fun. Price comparable to other stores in my area so the convenience of having it delivered was nice.

If you have worked with red food coloring, you know the bitterness can be overwhelming if adding too much color. You don't have to worry about it with this product. Color is great in addition to no bitter taste.

The flavour was excellent in the sense if it didn’t taste of anything! The colour stayed strong through baking which is why I purchased this product. Would recommend.

Product is as expected.

Flavourless and makes a very vibrant red, but you do need to use a lot for the vibrancy, which is pretty standard with gel colouring. Red is a pain to make vibrant!
