Just a heads up, if you are an instructor purchasing this text from Amazon to teach this course, you might not be granted access to the teaching material mentioned in the introduction under the subtitle : For the Instructor. This book was purchased to instruct a dual enrolled , high school senior who is interested in courses that will prepare him for his Fire Rescue career and a bachelors degree in Crisis and Disaster Management. Regardless, of being a state fire instructor 3 and academy instructor, I was informed by the sales department at Taylor and Francis that you must purchase this book along with several copies, from the Taylor and Francis Group directly and be currently instructing at a university and have adopted this course in the classroom, to gain access to the code regarding teaching materials.The description is misleading, the quality is poor,the book is not a full size textbook, the pages are lifting from the binding and the front page has a tear.I am returning this text and will be using Hyndman's 5th edition instead.

I had to purchase / rent this book for a class, of which I am still salty about. It is VERY informative, but there are MANY typos. To the authors: just stick all of that text in Microsoft Word and you will catch all of the typos. If you're going to make me pay for a book that I didn't need for half of your class, at least fix the typos.

I had to read this for my Geology class for my online college class. It is very informative and detailed. I loved it and one of the authors of the book was my professor. :) I learned so much from this book. :)

It remains in good condition, at least when I got it and for the time I possessed it. Please take care of it so it can last! Thank you!

The book is fairly high in price but well worth it. The book is full of full-color​ pictures and graphs. Tons of good, valuable information in an easy to understand format. This will be my reference at my desk from now on. Outstanding book.

Very informative book. Can't stop reading it. If you want to know more about disasters this book is all you need.

Was just what the class ordered

Book came creased - when you pay this much for a book the expectation is that it should be packaged with care. Again...excellent text BUT terrible shipping.
