Pool Pump O-Ring Repair Kit For Sta Rite P2RA P2R Series and DuraGlas MaxiGlas (Pre 1998) Kit 6

Fingers crossed.....pump has been working well for a few months since I installed this haul-over kit. One thing though, I have an old Duraglass-II and when I tried to install the shaft seal from this kit. It did not fit snug but simply dropped in...had to buy a separate shaft seal for $15. Wasn't thrilled but glad my Pool store guy saved me from a potentially very bad mistake. I still saved a lot of money with the kit but if you are a newb you can do some damage. I am basically that but not too stupid either....I think. Anyhow, watch youtube and be aware and you should be fine. Make sure you got decent tools and a impact wrench helps loosen seized bolts typical of pool setups that remain untouched for long periods.

The quality of the parts is high. I was very careful to do my research to find the correct replacement parts for my really old pump. Several suppliers told me this is the right kit. Well, it seems to be yes, and no. The bearing (shaft) seal - the most important part- was not the same as the one it replaced. Figuring the new one must be the right one, and the old one must be the wrong one, I used the new one from this kit. Of course, there's no way to determine whether this repair is successful until the entire thing is reassembled, replaced into the pool plumbing system, and rewired. (If there's a better way to do this, I'd sure like to know about it!) After doing all this, the pump leaked tons of water. So, I had to remove/disassemble the pump again, including cutting open my newly replaced piping. I took the pump along with both shaft seals to a local supplier. They determined that the seal that came with the kit was in fact not the correct one. So, I had to buy a shaft seal - meaning that the great price on this kit wasn't so great after all. I gave three stars instead of two, because even though I did a lot of checking to find the right parts, there's a possibility there was some other issue going on with getting the shaft seal right.Again, the quality of the parts is great. If you can be sure that this is exactly what you need, it's a very good deal.

I tried to go to the original warehouse, and got the run-a-round... When I pulled up Amazon and saw I could get the same product, I went for it.. My order arrived in two days, at no extra cost.. amazing.. you have my business from now on.. thanks much, Elmer

O Rings fit perfectly but except for the most important part. The Pump Seal was wrong size, too small.
