ZamaRB-K70A Carburetor w/Plug

Great carb . Easy installation. No additional adjustment was necessary. I will recommend this one.

My Echo SRM-230 always started easily but last weekend it began bogging badly after about 45 minutes of use, wouldn't idle without the choke on, wouldn't throttle up at all without trying to stall, and was basically useless. After trouble shooting for several hours I decided it was a carburetor problem so I bought a replacement carburetor, took off the original factory carburetor, installed this one which looks identical to the original one, pressed the primer bulb a couple of times, turned the choke on and pulled the cord once, it reluctantly started but quickly stalled. I turned the choke all the way off, pulled the cord again once and it fired right up, idled like it's supposed to, sluggishly throttled up at first when I pulled the trigger all the way but moments later as I held the trigger at max it was smoothly running full throttle. After that it let me back off and go wide open repeatedly and rev'd strong and fast from that moment on, and it runs great again!Unlike the much less expensive "compatible" carburetors listed on here, this one came in an original box and works like it should. I spent several hours with several tanks of gas and several re-strings of the line head to cut through lots of tall, thick, heavy brush and weeds along my property borders with no problems thanks to this carburetor.Note: this carburetor did not include any gaskets. I was able to carefully remove the fragile original factory manifold gasket that was stuck to the original factory carburetor and re-use it for this carburetor and it worked great but I would suggest getting a new gasket just in case you're not so lucky with your original gasket during the removal process.

My Echo string trimmer carb was leaking fuel. I figured it was either a gasket or one of the diaphragms. It would be at least $100 at the dealer. Zama is the OE carb for this trimmer. $30 and 1/2 hour later and it runs like new. Then I found a rebuild kit for $16 and rebuilt the old carb. Now it’s an easy swap the next time. In hindsight, it was so easy to rebuild the carb, I should have just done that. But the price was too good to pass up.

Echo used this carburetor on many different models. Unfortunately, this carburetor's fuel mixture is set and not intended to be adjusted to your particular machine. Youtube offers videos on drilling out a plastic plug to access the high-speed jet adjustment, then you'll need a precision flat blade screwdriver. My machine ran poorly and bogged down prior to adjustment, after that it was a champ!

Replaced with new carb that was an exact replacement. Engine ran same as new after replacement.

This was the exact part that came on my trimmer. Very easy to change out and get it ready to start. In just a few minutes it was changed and ready to use once more. It has run very well since. Great product and I would recommend this product.

My brother gave up on his Echo SRM 230 trimmer after he hired someone to replace the carb and it still bogged down at full throttle. I replaced the cheap carb someone else installed with this OEM carb and it runs perfectly. Buy the best and buy it once.

Took 10 minutes to install, 10 year old beat up Echo Weed Eater started 2nd pull and runs like new. As long as you have spark, the new carb will fix your $190 machine for cheap and performs much better than the rechargeables.
