Looks even better than the original cover!
The IKEA sofa got a definite upgrade with this cover! The material is thick and sturdy, even more than what it came with. Each piece fit perfectly to the furniture, you’d never know this is a slipcover. This is a bit tedious to install, you’ll have to completely disassemble the sectional for the back and end piece to be covered. It’s worth it though, as this looks like an upholstered piece of furniture from the factory once you get it installed.

PERFECT
Good quality! What I didn’t know (because I didn’t read beforehand) the couch has to be UNASSEMBLED FOR THIS. It makes it stay in place though, so worth it. It holds up well with spills and was the perfect size for our couch. It looks great and it allows us to use all the features. The texture is a little rough though.

It was way harder than I expected.
As comfortable as I am setting up any ikea products, this cover was hard to put it on.I'd rather buy a new sofa and assemble that one, instead of buying a cover for this specific sofa.At the end it's a tight fit, and looks good.

Exactly what I wanted
We have the classic IKEA couch and we love the design but the upholstery was getting worn with use and the little zoo we have in our house. We have the grey version and when we bought the cover we were so surprised at how similar it was. The cover is actually a bit more durable but looks great! And it’s still really comfortable. Putting it on is a bit tricky so just make sure you have some time to do it. But honestly, the video makes it easy and each piece is labeled. It has lasted well so far and we’ve had it on for 4+ months now. Such a great option rather than getting a new-used couch. Definitely recommend!

End result is A+
The end result is great! The prices fit snug and everything is labeled. It is def a project, give yourself plenty of time and space. I was able to do it alone in 2 hours in a small area, but it was really difficult. No need to wash or iron before, there is no off gas smell or wrinkles. Material feels durable. Will I ever willingly take it off to wash? Probably not. End result was worth the struggle.

Don't Install While Hungry
So, let's look at the Pros and Cons on this product:PROSDoes a good job of refreshing our couch, looks nice, and is machine washable. All good qualities that I strongly appreciate. I can't speak to it's durability yet, but it at least came through the wash without incident so that's a plus.CONSIt will take you a full day to install it. Two days if, like me, you are slow to getting around to dragging the ironing board out of the closet for the "Lightly press with a cool iron" step (which, for what it's worth, is WORTH doing. The covers come nicely folded but the creases will show). Took probably ninety minutes. Then comes the attempt to try to put the covers on without the instructions, because they're all labeled and there's no instruction sheet included. Then comes the step where you struggle for twenty minutes trying to get straps to Velcro together that are about six inches too short for the job. (Size does matter, as it turns out). Then comes the step of googling "Master of Covers Friheten instructions" because, as mentioned no instruction sheet is included in the shipment. Then comes the step of discovering that the instructions ONLY come in the form of a video followed by fifteen minutes of seething and a brief time out. Then comes the step of attempting to skip ahead in the instruction video to the relevant step of "Disassembling your sofa" while a spokesperson cracks jokes to the tune of elevator music. So, then you disassemble your couch. Then you have to drop everything with a disassembled couch in your living room to go back to the computer for more video instructions. "Just put the cover on and Velcro the straps--not too tight!" Says the spokesperson, demonstrating with a set of covers with adequate Velcro strappage while meanwhile you heave and haul and yank like you're trying to fit into your high school jeans and, like your high school jeans, it's just not gonna happen. Then comes lunch. Because you're hangry and have already cursed the air blue and your Loving Spouse is afraid to enter the same room as you. After lunch, the covers go on and you start getting creative with the Velcro Dilemma. That solved, you now get to move on to the Hardware Hole Dilemma. The covers don't come with holes built in for the hardware to go through--according to Video Spokesperson this is to allow a custom fit to your particular sofa. Fine. Back to the computer for more instruction. Get patronized by Video Spokesperson who tells you to calm down, take a deep breath, get a drink of water and just make the cuts with a sharp implement. Easy peasy except now your blood pressure is through the roof, your eye may or may not be twitching, you're holding an exacto knife in one and and Loving Spouse is watching from outside the window for safety. You decide that's probably all the instruction you're willing to take from Video Spokesperson and plan to wing it from there. Loving Spouse cautiously enters the premises to help reassemble the sofa, an exercise in marital collaboration that will give you a VERY exact reading on how well you're currently communicating. And ta-dah! The sofa is done! Celebrate by taking a three-mile victory lap around the block in an effort to burn off the residual rage. For the love of all that is sacred, PLEASE add a paper instruction sheet to this product.

Perfect fit, material not the softest
Our eight year old Friheten was peeling and leaving blobs of black leather surface all over, so some kind of cover was necessary. My spouse and I are both pretty handy, and working together, it took us almost two hours (three if you count ironing out the worst of the fold lines). It's definitely a hassle, as it requires almost fully disassembling and re-assembling the couch, as well as cutting holes for the bolts to go through. Ours DID come with the piece to cover the trundle pullout cushion.PROS: The couch looks fantastic. As other reviewers have shown, it's not baggy the way most slipcovers are, it looks like the couch came this way. We didn't have the problems some reviewers did with the velcro; everything fit perfectly and was well labeled.CONS: A giant pain to install. The fabric is scratchy, heavy polyester, so the couch isn't as comfortable as it was. The install video is heavy on reassurance and light on helpful information (there are no paper instructions). Also, worth noting that the Master of Covers website, if you choose to buy through them, has many more fabric options and colors. I sort of wish I had spent the extra $ and gone that route, but I am happy with what we got. I really hope the fabric holds up; I'll update my review if it doesn't last, because it's too much of a hassle to redo.
