One per cat…
My older cat, Noelle, is very finicky about her sleeping and relaxing spots. I have bad knees, so whenever I sit down, I put a heating pad and blanket on them, creating the perfect spot for Noelle to curl up. She even gets mad if I have to get up again, because she wants a soft, heated place to sleep. My other cat, Parker, loves watching birds and is always taking over the last spot Noelle has been in. I recently changed my bedroom around, finally giving the cats access to the window and the sill so they can enjoy the birds outside. I ordered this heated window bed thinking that even if they used it a few times, it would be a win, because we all know that cats don’t use anything you buy them - they just want the box it came in - so I placed the order hoping that my money wouldn’t be completely wasted. It arrived two days earlier than I expected, which was amazing all by itself. Set up was a breeze. I recommend drilling in some guide holes before hand so that way you aren’t trying to handle a drill or screwdriver while also holding on to the bed and making sure it’s not moving. The bed warmed up immediately and the cover was a cinch to put back on. My son had the smart idea to put a bit of catnip on it, and then we tested it out with Parker. She liked it, but as it was night time and she has the cat version of ADHD, she didn’t stay on it long. Next up was Noelle…and she loved it. So much so that she didn’t leave it other than to use the litter box and eat. Normally, Noelle follows me around like a dog, but not last night. She fell asleep sprawled out on it like a drunken frat bro. I could even hear her snoring. Parker was resigned to sleeping on my bed, glancing longingly at Noelle and her bed every once in a while. This morning, I woke to find that Noelle had barely moved an inch. Parker was the one to follow me around the house while I did all the morning stuff. I came back to my room and Noelle finally hopped down to use the facilities, leaving the window seat unattended. Parker took it to her advantage and hopped up on it immediately. When Noelle came back into my room, she was outraged and decided to passive aggressively sit and stare at Parker until she finally jumped onto my bed. Noelle instantly got right back up onto it and loafed. Parker wasn’t about to give up, and with a mighty struggle, managed to get up and sit on the tiny sill next to Noelle.Long story very short - get one of these for each cat so they don’t passive aggressively hate each other and try to steal the bed from each other.

Perfect for keeping Cats warm in Maine/New England Winters!
My partner and I bought this so our cats would still be able to sit on the window sills without getting too cold in winter! The both of them LOVE it and will even put up with cuddling on it despite refusing to sleep together anywhere else lol. It's sturdy and holds the both of them (20 lbs total) without even bowing! We personally screwed it into our windowsill so I can't vouch for how well the adhesive pads work. The bed doesn't heat up that high so theres no worry of your cats getting injured or overheating, its just cozy and warm. c: Even in the warmer months I just leave it unplugged and they still sleep on it constantly! We're hoping to buy another eventually!! Our only complaint is theres no space between where you attach the bed to the windowsill and the lip that the cover wraps around, so it can be awkward to take on and off for cleaning. But otherwise we're very happy with it!

I will definitely be buying again
My cat lays on this all day. Very good quality! It warms up just enough that the cold winter days don’t matter for my kitties. I screwed mine to the windowsill and it is perfect.

Strong chemical smell at first, but otherwise good
It took nine days to air out the chemical stink from the foam padding before I decided it had dissipated enough to be safe for the cat to sleep on it. I'm not chemically sensitive--I'm not one of those people who is bothered by perfume or whatever--but this smelled really toxic, and it was strong enough for the first couple of days to fill whatever room it was in with that smell. So, for people who commented that their cat just didn't like this product, maybe that's why.And to K&H, isn't there some less-nasty-smelling material you could use for the foam?My other issue with this product is that the power cord carries wall current right up to the heating pad, and our cat chews on cords sometimes. I wrapped a protective sleeve around the cord, but that wouldn't have been necessary if this product used a power brick that plugs into the wall and then a low-current cord running from that to the bed.Aside from those complaints, the sill is working well. Installation was straightforward, and the cat took to it immediately.I used the screws to attach it after reading reviews here saying that the velcro is unreliable.

I loved the HEATED CAT WINDOW PERCH ; My Cat didn't
Well lets get one thing right off the bat. Our Cat / cats are spoiled. Why else would you buy a heated :HEATED CAT WINDOW PERCH? I loved the idea of a heated cat perch. Although my cat sleeps with me 80% of the time and I live in California and it doesn't get real cold. In fact I never close that window year round .The K&H HEATED CAT WINDOW PERCH: is well made. Super soft. It sets up easy. It is also very solid. I never had a chance to ever try the heater since I sent the perch back to Amazon. My cat wouldn't get on it. In all fairness ; I left it up for a week and my cat was miserable not having his original perch. It is really my fault. When I moved in a year ago the dresser fit perfect at window level but doesn't look aesthetically pleasing. My dresser is not centered and looks odd. My cat, for some reason, can't see this aesthetic quality in the room and frankly could care less. Mind you . My cat is an outdoor feral Cat. I want him staying indoors since I do have coyote's. But he is very coyote savvy living outdoor for months before he adopted me.So I will buy a K&H heater this winter and stick it under his old netted bed my sister made him a few years ago. Some things don't change. But my Cat is not like most cats. It is feral. It doesn't come up to 99% people or animals. It is on guard 24 / 7. It is totally aware of it's surrounding. It doesn't eat any wet cat food, fresh chicken, fish etc. So I am not surprised on being picky on a cat bed. I tried. My other cats would have loved this unit and I would image your cat will as well. Yes. It is expensive but you will remember the quality of this K&H perch long after you remember how much you paid. Isn't your cat worth it. Yep - That why he got his perch back and well; I just have to live with the dresser slightly off. Good Luck To You !
