Review and comment
This book is a fine addition to the family of Piping Engineering & Design technical books. It is the second one (see Piping Engineering Leadership for Process Plant Projects, ISBN 0-88415-347-9, published 2001) dealing with the Supervision and Management of the overall Piping effort on process plant projects of all sizes. The three authors of this book have done a fine job of detailing important piping issues and activities critical to the effective management of manpower, resources and deliverables. Examples of key items include; the importance of the Scope of Work (SOW); Change Management; information and document control; and who should do Line Numbering and how it should be done. I judge piping technical books on the basis of whether or not I could use them as a classroom text book and, yes I could use this book if I were teaching a class in Piping Supervision.James O.
