Cheap Ram for a reason.
Hello, we are a repair shop in Atlanta GA. We decided to go ahead and cut a few dollars on a new product online and we decided to pick this one on Amazon since it had amazon prime for our business. After arrival the unit was packaged very well, once we plugged it into our MacBook Pro 17" 2009 model that takes 1067 MHz, it booted up fine for about 3 mins. After 3 mins the computer crashed and gave the dreaded 3 BEEPS sound (which means faulty ram) mind you this is new ram! We swapped back our working ram (OWC 2x2=4GB) and it was working fine again. We wanted to max out the ram on our board but it seems to prove that this product as a first try is not a good first impression. We will not be buying from this lot again. If you want to get good ram, invest into Timetec, OWC, Corsair, XtremeRam, or even Patriot Memory. Any off brand Ram is very risky and risks failure down the road.
