Good quality and value for money, awful smelling
Good quality item however the smell of these envelopes is truly vile. I have used this type of envelope frequently both in white and brown paper but never had this problem before - all I can say is thank goodness they are self sealing, licking them may have been more than even my cast iron constitution could handle :0)

Strong but very heavy and the glue didn’t stick
Strong envelopes but very heavy- so more expensive to post. Also the glue didn’t stick so I had to re-seal with sellotape. They do look smart though in white instead of the usual brown.

Ok. Not special
Not the same quality as my last batch. But the best Amazon had. A bit weak round the edges so reinforced with clear tape. Ok

Professional / quality finish, that'll keep things safe and save valuable time when packing.
There's only so much that can be said about an envelope, yes? Well, that depends on what your expectations are!I send quite a few things through to the post, and I make every effort to ensure that things don't get bashed, bent, creased or basically damaged in transit. Those are things that I can do something about (tracking helps with items getting miss-placed, but not with handling) and these board=backed envelopes will help with the things that I regularly send out.The pack contains 125x envlopes, which is quite weighty, but easily stored if you keep them in the shipping carton. Each envelope a C4 sized (so larger than A4, giving you about 10-12mm clearance top and bottom), with a plain paper front (with the "Please Do Not Bend" pre-printed) and a quality cardboard (also white) back. Edges are also nicely folded and bound, with no lose edges, flaps or things to get caught in the post. There's also a peel-away, self-adhesive strip on the flap, so you don't have to bother with wetting a tab (the peel strip can be popped into re-cycling, so there's minimal waste)All in, I really like these envelopes, as they're good quality, sturdy, will easy take what I need (6 sheets of A4 print,) no problem at all; and they're well suited for posting documents, photographs and any other flat item, that you want protected.I suppose the only consideration is that, they're not 'waterproof' or air-tight (yes, someone asked me that), but I'm not sure that's something that I'd every need (nor considered) when sending documents or photographs.Anyway, really nice item, with a professional / quality finish, that'll keep things safe and save valuable time when packing.

Very slightly transparent but otherwise, great quality envelopes
There have always been occasions when, having sent some important documents in the post, you wished that you'd used a reinforced envelope because the postal system has decided that they would be much better if they were folded in seven different places. These board backed envelopes are perfect for the task as the cardboard is stiff enough to prevent accidental damage and they are printed with the instruction "Please do not bend" so that it is obvious that additional care should be taken.Given that all postage costs are a derivation of the weight of the item being posted, it is important for the envelopes to remain as lightweight as possible and I'm happy to report that this has been achieved. Accordingly, you shouldn't end up with significant unnecessary additional postage costs as a result of obtaining that additional protection. The only downside which I have found with these envelopes is that they are ever so slightly transparent i.e. if you look closely, it is possible to see shades and colours of the documents inside however, I don't believe that it would be possible to read printed text. Otherwise, they are great value envelopes.

Great Quality & Value
Great value for money and perfect for sending documents, photos etc that you don't want to be accidentally bent in the post. These are also a good alternative to padded envelopes if wishing to send small items through the post albeit you'll need to wrap a small bit of bubble wrap around the item inside and to ensure durability I then tend to sellotape the non card exterior of the envelope to give a waterproof and rip proof exterior. Obviously their main function is supposed to be documents but they can be 'modified' if you perhaps needed a bubble envelope. As always with Amazon Basics items we have had it's a great product and good value for money. Very happy with these which will no doubt last me quite sometime .

Ideal for posting photos
... or documents that have to stay flat. The paper portion of the envelopes feels a bit cheap and thin, though it is opaque and the back board is thick enough to support the shape and reduce the likelihood of them bending in the letterbox. The clearly written red "Please Do Not Bend" message on the front also reminds the postie that the envelope needs more careful treatment. As a budget option, these are fine and thay at least look more expensive than Manilla envelopes.

Good,bulk product from Amazon Basics.
This is a great product for those that send out a lot of correspondence and want good quality, strong peel and seal envelopes. The envelopes are white with a card backing ,have a please do not bend notice on the front in red and are especially useful for sending out important documentation. This bulk order is incredibly good value for money at current price of just £15.99 for 125 envelopes.I don't actually send out that many letters,so I now have a heavy box of envelopes to store somewhere.lol.
