Makes A Good Hand Sanitizer
I was looking for an aloe vera gel that was perfect for creating my own hand sanitizer. Natural Brand Aloe Vera Gel, was one of the brands displayed in my search on Amazon. I read the reviews and decided to give it a go. To my surprise, the product was super easy to work with and make a very good hand sanitizer. I mixed 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel to 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol. Mixed in several drops of essential tea tree oil. Mixed it up well in a bowl and poured it into a spray bottle. Just remember to use at least 60 percent alcohol and up.

Best option for sanitizer
I've bought this product twice now to make hand sanitizer. I tried a couple of other options in between and this had the best final product of all of them. One of the others was decent though not as good, the other required mixing very carefully and extracting the strings as they formed. This is awesome as this brand has the best price value as well. All of the others were at minimum half the size for twice the price. This one requires much less time and care to prepare; there are some little dots of aloe throughout the final mix, but that isn't a bad thing. Remember that what you make at home isn't likely to be exactly the same as what you get from an industrial process. We liked it so much that I bought two this last time so I could deliver some to everyone my kids visit (granted, that's a very short list). The recipe I use: two parts grain alcohol (190 proof/95%) to one part aloe. You can drip a little bit (not much, or you will take the alcohol content below minimum to be effective) of essential oil in it, but it honestly evaporates so fast that the only real smell is plain aloe. Throwing any recipe into a blender will give you a very fine grain, but you have to make sure your blender is sterile along with your other tools for the mix to really be effective. This particular brand doesn't really require that step as long as you don't mind those tiny moisturizing beads of aloe.If you are making large batches, I recommend picking up picnic style condiment bottles to put it in. They are decent sized but still work for travel, the neck of the bottle allows you to pour the mixture without worrying about a funnel to sterilize before use, and the tip is easily capped with a very narrow profile so that you don't use too much at once. It doesn't risk clogging from those very small globs of aloe like a pump bottle might. Just make sure once you start using it that you sterilize the container after handling it wherever you touched it. We are in the habit of pouring just a little more than we would use just for our hands to rub the bottle down before rubbing our hands together.

I used this for the wrong application
I used this for the wrong application, This would be great if you were to drink this but I was using this in hand sanitizer and should have ordered the Jelled form of Aloe. It does have a nice smell and really has no real flavor that is very strong. so I guess you could add this to shakes and smoothies.
