I use to love CrashPlan. I read all the reviews and it had the top glowing ones. I signed up for the CrashPlan Family Unlimited 4 Year Subscription for 10 computers. It is a bargain. And it promised forever storage of my data - even past versions. After 1.4 year my primary, always-on, backup computer backed up 4 TB of information - including my photography collection - to Code42's CrashPlan Servers. But suddenly, this week CrashPlan COMPLETELY DELETED ALL MY DATA! It is HORRIBLE to think that should my computer crash, CrashPlan would be UNABLE TO RESTORE any data. I realized cannot rely on CrashPlan. And so many people have similar experiences.See for yourself all of Amazon customer reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Code-42-Software-CrashPlan/dp/B005UP3U70/ref=cm_rdp_productTerrible product.I am giving it another chance by attempting to backup to CrashPlan again to see if it can backup my 4TB of files. But I am going to also try BackBlaze to see if it can do better. I will subscribe to it at the same time and will see which service - CrashPlan vs BackBlaze - can better retain my data.Horrible experience on a service I use to trust - Code42 CrashPlan. It is gut wrenching to know that your data can be deleted to easily by CrashPlan and you would have no recourse should your hardware be destroyed in a fire. The old saying goes: Back up to an offsite location. But looks like you also have to maintain your own offsite server, not just CrashPlan since CrashPlan's service doesn't guarantee a backup with this recent experience.

Bad service
Terrible customer service! Like previous reviewer I was pleased with the software initially. But I think they've grown too big. No technical support at all- no response to even an email request for support. The system does not work well. Go with Backblaze for sure!
