Easy to use and cuts really well ,excellent tool and saves time definitely a must have tool

Been using plastic electrical conduit for more years than I care to remember and always used a good old fashioned junior hacksaw to cut and stanley knife to trim burrs afterwards when doing any installation work and been fine for what I neededHowever, I finally succumbed and bought this cutter to add to my tool boxHave to say its very lightweight, and very easy to use, even with smaller hands. Blade seems solid for what it needs to be and should give years of trouble free service. Not sure if they are replaceable or can be sharpened but will worry about that if and when the time comes. The cut is also very clean and no further dressing needs to be carried out before fittingThe ratchet mechanism is also very easy, both to open and close too which is a huge bonus if you intend using this constantly on larger installation jobs. The handle also has a clip to hold it closed for safety when not in useIn fact, the only downside I can find with this, (albeit the same day it arrived), is that the ends of the conduit do not cut squarely at all. It is easy to align the tube with the cutter, but as soon as you apply pressure when cutting, the blade veers to one side and the resulting cut is out of square - on 20mm diameter conduit this translates to one side being about 2-3mm higher than the opposite side. The reason is that the rear of the blade is not supported in the wide slot it travels through and allows it to twist out of squareGenerally this would be Ok if, as 99% of the time, the ends will be inserted into some type of end fitting or coupler, but I also use conduit for making up storage holders for various things and the ends are open to view - sadly they look unsightly to my trained eye, so might not get rid of my hacksaw and knife combo just yet :(

The media could not be loaded. I bought these for do-it-yourself irrigation projects after my last set broke, but the set I bought had to be cut. I tried cutting it with a few items at home, but it didn't work. Because the edges of the pipes were imperfect and it was quite difficult to join them. I had to buy pipe cutters and I bought this and I am very happy with its performance! Actually, it's not my field of interest, but I wanted to share my experience for those who are ignorant like me.Compared to my other tool items at home, the feel and movement of the tool is very solid and smooth, thanks to the thickness of the exterior and the bolts used to hold it together, it's pretty easy to grasp and my hands don't slip.The blade felt very sharp and cuts PVC much easier than most household tools! The thickness of the pipes I used is 2-3cm on average and it was able to cut very quickly. In addition, there are no defects and problems on the edges of the pipes. Thus, it is much easier and flawless to combine with other pipes.

Bought to cut a plastic pipe going into the drain after trying to cut with the hacksaw. Did the job in seconds and worth the price. Very handy tool.

It works really well. It is lightweight and you meed to take care of it. Should last if its cared for. Cut is clean and square.
