Continental Trail King Mountain Bike Tire - Clincher, Wire, Black

My hubby cycles a four mile round trip to work everyday and bought this tyre to replace one that had punctured.It looks and feels good quality and he found it easy to fit. His route to work takes him through the streets but also off road down dirt tracks as a cut through. He's been using this tyre for a couple of weeks now and is impressed with the tread/grip of the tyre on both surfaces.He's had to have new tyres many times over the years and this is certainly one of the better quality and better value ones he's ever bought.

Very good for clay tracks and shallow flood plains where I often ride.

Put these two new continental "CrossKing" tyres on to two brand new Mavic wheels and when installed and inflated the wheels both back and front looked buckled when spinning freely. They do the job though. This is an obvious default in the tyres so beware when purchasing.

I was googling for a weeks to find the best tyre for all condition, it is this one. Offset grip for smooth ride on a hard surface and deep for offroad. My son cycles to a school 8 miles return trip and does some offroad with me, the tyre handles all conditions 👍 good job continental

Size 2.2 on a 17 mm rim. Much lighter, faster on pavement, better cornering on gravel than the sunlite CST241 previously on the bike. Didn't use it long enough to vouch for the durability but most tires in this size are 1.5 to 2x the price so it's cost effective.Comments if installed on a 17mm rim: Caliper measure 50mm. Very tight - plastic levers will probably not do the job. Some reviewers rated this tire poorly due to difficult installation but owning 7 bikes my experience is tightness depends on rim width - some tires actually install easier on a narrower rim.Not a wire bead tire as described because it arrived folded.Most of my bikes have Continental tires and for over 10 years and so far I never had a flat on the road.
