So much more than magnets
What can you say, it's an amazing story so what better way for your kids to interact with the characters than with this magnetic set. My 2 year old boy absolutely loves it so when he opened this up Christmas morning, he had it opened in no time and playing around with it. So that's the why with this purchase. As another review has mentioned, the magnets are thin, but I honestly don't know what they were expecting. It's no different than the magnet you get from a dentist with their number on it or anything similar. They are relatively strong, strong enough to hold the different scenes up on the fridge. Speaking of scenes, as in the description there are 4 of them. They are on the flip side of two pieces of paper stock with a highly glossed surface. They've got some stiffness to them, but still can be bent/creased, so beware if your little one has a knack for that.I've added 2 customer submitted photos. One just shows the scene card along with all the magnets and the second one shows some magnets "set" in a scene. One really cool thing about this is that the tin container is magnetic so it can be taken with you on the go for the kids to play along with whether it's in the car or at grandma and grandpa's house.Summary: For the price it's a good value. The magnets are of high quality, the scenes are really cool and the nice tin just adds to that value. This set has had a nice workout on our fridge for the last month or so. If you're on the fence, I'd definitely get a set. It just adds that much more to the story since we've used them to reenact it.

Very happy with this
Bought for a 3 year old on a trip and he carried it with him the whole week! It was his "quiet time" toy and was easy to carry. Fun, colorful pieces.

Great for airplanes
This is a really great toy for keeping toddlers occupied in the kitchen or on an airplane. I got this when my son was 18 months and he did like it, but it isn't quite durable enough for kids that young. He does like to chew on it and bend it too much. However, it is a great toy for flights! Lots of cool pieces and he really likes all the familiar characters from the books, especially the caterpillar.

Handle This Nostalgia with Care
This is such a cute concept!! We love Eric Carle and all the illustrations evoke some real nostalgia for me as his books were some of my favorites throughout my childhood! The cookies are vibrant and beautiful, just like the books!! I have to be honest I didn’t read the full description and I really thought that the scenes would also be magnetic too! I understand that the magnets hold the scenes in place so it’s not totally necessary but I would have liked it if they were magnetic as well! The magnets come on a sheet that you pop them out of; I popped them all out and then cut a thin border using the remaining piece that held all the magnets. The result wasn’t quite uniform (although it did the trick), so it would be good if the manufacturers did a perforated border that could serve this purpose if they aren’t going to make the scenes magnetic. The scenes and magnets are pretty thin so it would make me nervous to leave my 2 year old alone with this for fear that she would tear them apart (I know it says 3+ right on it, but that’s just something I felt others might like to know). I like that the case itself can be used as a platform for the scenes and magnets. I have an almost 4 year old and a just-turned-2 year old and it’d be so neat if the manufacturers made it so that the tin that it comes in wasn’t hinges, but instead could pull apart to be two separate platforms for the scenes so that each kid could use it on the go! On another note, because these magnets are thin they are great for the fridge because I’m not worried about them leaving scratches on my stainless steel!**I included pictures of all the magnets that came with the set**

Mermaid cat one is better than the princess one.
I got the cat mermaid one and the princess one and like the cat one a lot more because the cat is part of the board to where the princess is another magnet and the magnets don’t stick as well to her. Also get bent and ruined easily. Over all both great toys!

Not quite as described
Although it says it comes with 4 scenes and 3 princesses, we only got two scenes and 2 dolls. Additionally the magnets are very weak, so the pieces do not layer well (they only stick to the tin directly which doesn't make sense for a dress up toy). Lastly, some of the pieces are tiny, which doesn't make it great for traveling as it's too easy to lose them. Overall, great idea but not well executed at all.

Perfect for my toddler!
I purchased this as a toy for my toddler to play with on the plane. It worked perfectly! There are 4 different background and tons of magnets with animals/bugs/fruit from Eric Carle books. It’s a great size magnetic box and it holds my toddler’s attention for a long time. He loves it!

Granddaughter loved it
Very cute toy. Be careful when removing the pieces from the template for the first time. Bunny’s arm got a small tear but still very usable.

Great to match correct parts together to make 'conventional' dinosaurs ...
Great to match correct parts together to make 'conventional' dinosaurs and almost more enjoyable for kids to get creative and invent their own mutant. The metal tin might have been bigger though as only 1-2 dinosaurs can fit on the scene cards included when in the box and my children wanted to put more of their designs in the same scene.

Nice but started bending after one day.
I ordered 6 different ones and I hope they are not all going to do this. I will seriously be pissed. This was $30. Honestly, my daughter loves it but it should be $15

Not worth the price!
For the “world of Eric Carle” product this is quite poor quality. I love all the other items from this line I’ve bought, but this is not worth the money. It was more expensive than any other item and the pieces are very small and flimsy. There are too many stories represented, so you only get a few pieces from each story, I stead of all pieces from just one book. I don’t recommend.

Disappointing
Not as good as I thought they would be, and my 2 and a half year old doesn't really play with them much. Not really very good likenesses to the dinosaurs he knows and loves. The background sheets supplied are not magnetic, so I'm not sure why they are in there. Very expensive for what they are. Disappointed.
