Works great on my motorcycle helmet
I find that I can even use it to attach my EDC flashlight to my motorcycle helmet. I also like the fact that is that it is adjustable which it saves a lot of neck exercise to get the light beam where I wanted it.

The mounting system is awesome. The focal range on the light is fantastic. 4.6 out of 5!
Pros: ..too many to count. The mounting bracket is worth the price alone, imo.Cons: When dispersed-focused the light is underwhelming.. but it is also only powered by a single AA.. so let's be real about expectations here. =)I bought this for my hard hat after seeing a co-worker with it. I already had a quality headlamp strapped to my hard hat on the front but it couldn't focus like this light can. The focal range on this light is very cool, you can focus down so hard that you can see the shape of the diode and some of the wires in the actual diode projected onto a wall from 30' away. I needed this penetrating focus/light because I often have to look down deep into dark spaces through narrow slats/grills. So now I'm the guy walking around with two headlamps on his hard hat. I definitely like the velcro strap on the mount instead of some proprietary nonsense because it lets you put anything on the mounting bracket. I think the bracket itself is worth about $15 to me. It also has a rear button which is nice.

Pretty good for this and that
I was going to give this thing a three to four star review. As a light it works great it can focus quite a ways away not talking like 20 ft but really shines around 5 ft to 10 ft. If you're looking down a lot of holes or tight spaces this thing works the best. I would often use this instead of my headlamp to look down concrete bore holes in the middle of the day. I believe all I did was tighten the s*** out of it and it stayed on my head the whole time I still have the bracket on my old helmet. With that being said the thing that pisses me off the most about this light is that if you have it on your helmet and you're not constantly tightening it it has the tendency to fall apart or a better term come loose. That first you'll probably lose the lens which helps it focus on a certain point then from there the light is just a light and not a good one at that and then possibly your battery is going to fall out. I'm actually not going to buy this one again. I'm actually going to buy one that's way more expensive just to see if it works a better and different. Which I believe it's called a streamlight Vulcan 180. I haven't used that particular model so I cannot leave a review in this review about it.

Welding hoods
This mount is just what welders needed. How it clamps to the hood, instead of solely relying on the flash light clip that are typically on most flash lights. The u shaped cradle combined with the Velcro strap is genius. The one issue that I do have with it is the kind of material used for the cradle. It’s some kind of rubber? Which leads me to believe it can be torn. We’re welders we work in tight spaces and when exiting ( you can bump your helmet on those sharp ends) I mean I would buy it again when that time comes. That being said if the cradle were made of metal created by way of a cast. You would only need to purchase it once.

NOT WORTH 32 BUCKS...
I figured for 32 bucks this would be brighter than my cheap 5-10 dollar lights... NOPE!!! I compared it to my 4.99 light and was disappointed because I paid so much for this, but , I'm keeping it like all my cheap lights. NOT WORTH THE MONEY,I guess I was expecting more from this light system considering they say it can be used by firefighters... I won't be attaching this to my helmet, but i'll throw it in a go bag or something.

Excellent quality
I have now purchased two and have referred this product to 5 others. The light installs easily and is durable. I use this light on my MSA 1040, it only takes 1 AA battery (not included,) shines brightly, and lasts a while. I, as well as many others I know, have been in some good fires with it and it has held up perfectly. Highly recommend.

Weak beam, although adjustable to a bright spotlight. A bright floodlight is what is needed
Just got mine, light appears to be very weak. At least the mounting part can hold a better light.

Good for fire helmets
Currently using this for my fire helmet, great product, took it interior in a structure fire and no damage done.
