It is a low price solution that did the job. I do not know how long it will last but so far so good.

This will dress your grinding wheel and true it to some extent. It removes a large amount of material quickly so be careful. It will not male a cheap Chinese grinding wheel good...but in America, we seem to be loosing access to quality manufactured items.

During first use it came apart and parts went flying. Partially my fault for not checking if parts were tightened. Found all pieces after searching the shop and reassembled. Nothing damaged but my confidence.

Hands down the best I've used, been looking for one for awhile and it's held up well. When it breaks I'll make a point of posting an update.

Beefy tool that gets the job done. It really makes a mess but it does the job. Used it to true-up 2 grinders...one old 6" and a new 8" Dewalt that came from the factory that vibrated badly, but thats another story. Burned through the provided cutter set but found a kit of 10(full sets) for about $20. I figure with the tool and the additional cutter sets I am set for life.

This is the dresser you need. Don't get the one that has replaceable wheels that comes up first on a Amazon search because it's garbage. A couple of turns and it will litterally explode. This Desmond model however is the bees knees when it comes to wheel dressing. A couple of turns and the grinding wheel is straight and flat as a pancake and the tool shows no worse for wear. Kevin.

This is a great dressing wheel, especially for the price. It is sturdy, well built, and the wheels can be replaced when they wear out. The handle is cast iron, so it has some heft. It is easy to control and it keeps your hand away from the wheel. I'd recommend this to anyone.
