Great value!
I've had this knife for about a week now and i must say that i am really enjoying it. At the time of purchase, it was under $7 each, so i bought two. As you can see in the picture i posted, i have an original sog seal pup alongside this clone. This, by the way, is the clone of the original seal pup made in seki, japan. the dimensions are a little different as this has a bit shorter, fatter, and rounded handle.Let's look more into the knife in comparison to the current sog production. This one doesn't show the origin, but can be assumed it's made in China. My Sog is also Chinese made, but the previous versions are made in Taiwan(better quality). According to the description, the blade on the clone is 440c, but it's stamped as 420 stainless, compared to the AUS 8 on the sog. I've been testing it out with cardboard boxes(which actually dulls your knife quickly) and so far it's been holding a decent edge. Now I think the handle is where the clone shines. Compared to the GRN(glass-reinforced nylon) material of the sog, this one is made of rubber. it probably won't hold up as well as the sog's, but after holding it in my hands and cutting with it for a while, i'd say that this one's the winner. after handling the sog for a bit, i can feel the diamond texturing digging into my palms and although it provides a good traction, it can be uncomfortable. Lastly, the sheath it comes with is nothing to write home about(nylon instead of leather as the description says) but it serves its purpose. If you already have a sog seal pup, you can easily just slide it in as the dimensions are very comparable.Overall, for the price I paid for it, this is a great knife. At the time of this review, it's selling for about $17 bucks, which is still not bad. Of course it's not gonna hold up to more of the higher-end knives such as kabars, esee's, bhk's, etc(all of which i own btw), but it all depends on what you wanna use the knife for. After investing hundreds of dollars on knives and other survival gear, i found that for my purpose, i don't really require much. And a bit about myself, I'm a former US Marine Sergeant, deployed to iraq in '03(had an article written about me where it was mentioned that i had 10 knives on me, plus 3 that the journalist didn't see, lol), an avid hiker, occasional camper, currently in the National Guard, and i like knives.I hope you find this review helpful. I like sharing my views with people and hope that it helps you with your knife decisions. Good luck, happy knife hunting, and God bless:)

It's a $10 knife... with not-so-great steel
In reviewing this knife, I want to be fair, because, after all, it's a $10 knife. Handle - great and comfy. Looks - hey, it's a SOG Seal PUP clone, so of course it looks great. Edge - meh, the straight edge isn't even and the serrations look like they were cast... neither are sharp... the thing would need a serious working over to be very usable. But, hey, it's a $10 knife! So why the 3 stars and why am I returning it? I really wanted to like this thing, but... the steel is full of imperfections and probably not worth the time it would take to make it sharp enough to use. And add to that, the sheath, such as it is, is shaped for a left hip carry, which is... odd, to say the least. So, if you don't mind the risk of "meh" steel, are going to make your own sheath, and are willing to spend a bit of time making it usable... it's an ok $10 knife. But there are better $10 knives, and I'm going to get one of those, even though they won't look as cool or probably be as comfortable to hold.

Junk
This knife has a good feel to it. The blade is dull 420 stainless steel of poor quality while sharpening with steel rod sharpener the tip broke off about 1/4 th. Very cheap not worth the $10.00 .
