Native Vanilla 10 Vanilla Beans

I've been making my own vanilla extract for some years. Vanilla pods are expensive, but it's always cheaper - and far more 'flavourful' - to make your own than to buy commercial vanilla extract.Some vanilla pods are better than others, and I've found a few suppliers which provide consistently plump, moist, flavourful pods and have bought from them regularly.However vanilla *is* expensive and at times is very expensive indeed, and so I keep a lookout for other sources of decent vanilla pods.So I came across this seller, as I wanted to start a completely new batch (you can reuse vanilla pods for a second batch if you add some new pods at the same time) and took a chance because of the good reviews and the excellent price.I have now just started to use the vanilla extract for which I used only these vanilla pods (and the usual cheap, unbranded, vodka (£10) I always use). The vanilla essence is really excellent. As good as I've ever brewed with far more expensive vanilla pods.Do give these pods a try - before they go up in price once the suppliers realise how good they are...

Fresh, fragrant and great quality and value vanilla pods! Bought to make a batch of homemade vanilla extract. The lengths of each pod did vary quite a bit but otherwise very happy! I’ll be back to give an update in 6 months! 😄****4 years laterWhat can I say, I’ve been back to buy more pods over the years and been happy each time. The last two photos are from February 2024, showing how concentrated the extract gets at its peak (8 pods to 500ml vodka, 1 year matured) you only need about half the amount a recipe calls for at that strength.

I gave a value of 4 because I have since seen bundles of 10 for a little less, but they could be inferior. This seems a decent value. No rating on flavour because it will be at least 7 months before I taste the extract, but they smelled great. I’m certain I’ll be happy.

I bought this to make my own vanilla extract. The pods came in a plastic vacuum pack, some might say this is not recommended way to send vanilla pods - I am not expert on this. The pods had nice vanilla smell, although they are not as strong as my previous ones. The vacuum pack seemed to "leak" slightly as there was a bit of air in the pack and there were slight brown precipitations on the plastic around the pods. I'm not sure whether it was the manufacturer or Amazon fault, but I decided to not raise my concern and just put them in the vodka to steep. Let's hope they will turn out to be good in 12 months time.

Litterally all of my cake recipes contain vanilla extract so i go through vanilla extract like it's water which in the end can be expensive. I also moved countries so finding vanilla extract became even more expensive since they like to use pre-prepared food kits for just about everything in the Netherlands... annoying when someone like me loves to cook from scratch. Soaked these in some vodka to make my own which not only has made my life easier but i can top it up. The smell from the bottle is just heaven and the flavour is even more so! Bought a 2nd pack to try a bourbon vanilla extract. Should be good to go in a year!

Pods seem great, but unfortunately I only received 5 of them instead of 10. Returns/refunds are not allowed due to the returns policy, and there doesn't seem to be a way to contact the seller to ask for the other 5.

This is the first time i have purchased vanilla pods online. They are to be used to make vanilla extract. Turned up the very next day after ordering and are now inside a bottle of vodka waiting to be used in a few months. Excellent quality and works out much cheaper than buying individually in the supermarket. Would recommend.

Don’t know why I waited so long to order these. Arrived the next day vac packed. They are soft and smell great. I made a sweetener stock syrup and used 8 pods to make 2 trays of vanilla ice cubes for my shakes.i will be ordering these pods on my next amazon order. Fresh and fantastic.

Vanille peulen besteld speciaal om zelf vanilla essence te maken. Ik kan nog niet vertellen hoe dat gelukt is maar de peulen zelf waren mooi, vol en roken heerlijk!
