Some good friends of ours got us addicted to Maldon Sea Salt; I must say it's worth the premium price as a finishing salt for your dining pleasure.The only ding (and it is an almost inaudible one) is that our more recent purchase included some excessively large (~1/4" diameter) flakes. OK, don't start on me with the "flakey" comments. Not a big deal, as it's fairly easy to break them into more conventional sizes.These are meant to be a final touch to add flavor to your otherwise under-salted cuisine; we use it mostly on salads and veggies, but it is equally at home adorning a steak or potatoes -- it's an absolute MUST for tomatoes or your eggs (any style).You don't have to bounce it off your forearm (Salt Bae style); just grab a pinch and sprinkle over your meal as you see fit (the pinch will take care of those oversized flakes I complained about above).
