In Sisterhood of the Scaps , Lissa brings together some of her favorite (and mine) designers to bring this book to life. Building on the idea of a community or sisterhood,she selects a patchwork shape to work with and then challenges the quilter to use that shape in her own creation. Seeing Lissa's creation along side that of the designersis so fun, how each quilt is made with the same beginning idea but are so different. None of the designers shy away from an abundance of scraps or color. The book is filled with tipsand techniques, and I found it so useful in dealing with my often disorganized scraps. Martingale's styling and photography shines through, and it's a joy to read. Congratulationsto Lissa on another group of wonderful quilts. So happy to add this book to my library.

I needed a table runner to go along with a seasonal couch quilt I made. I prefered to use the scraps from the couch quilt so that the colors were the same. The patterns in this book were great stash busters and it was easy to adapt a full size quilt to a table runner.

So many nice patterns, I have tons of scrap material and I'm excited about creating a beautiful quilt with a few of the patterns in this book.

As I looked through the book, I was happy to see several nice quilts to make instead of only one or two. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to get a friendship bread recipe too. I wasn't expecting that! Thanks you.

I purchased this book a while ago but didn’t read it till today. The author did a fabulous job of giving quilters elegant and fun scrap quilts that are easy to create. Highly recommend.

Un libro muy completo y muy bueno para buscar ideas.

Für Neulinge im Bereich des Quiltens ist dieses Buch evtl. eine Anregung, die zeigt, wie mit gleichen Blocks bzw. Mustern und durch die Stoffauswahl verschiedene Effekte erzielt werden können. Aber das ist ja nun hinlänglich bekannt, deshalb näht man ja Patchwork. Es verbleibt insgesamt im eher Traditionellen und nach meiner Einschätzung war es für die Mitwirkenden eine schöne Erfahrung, im gemeinsamen Arbeiten eine Herausforderung und den Austausch darüber zu erleben. Zum Betrachten ganz nett - dafür drei Sterne - aber es wird bei mir ein ruhiges Dasein im Regal führen. Mehr leider nicht.
