Gio Ponti: 1891-1979 Master of Lightness

I think this book delivers on what it promises, which is a quick overview of Ponti and some of his more well-known projects in a page or two, with a few photos, and that's it. Is it better than searching on the internet? Yes, because it's all organized nicely in one place, and the price is certainly cheap enough. However, if you want to do a deeper dive into his tiles, furniture and interiors, this isn't the best book.

Excellent, as said before. This book achieves what it's meant: to provide you with just the minimal amount of information to "get" the architect behind the works explained. I found Ponti obscure before. Now I see his ideas. Good explanations, beautifully illustrated. I should add, though, that the Pirelli Tower and, though to less extent, the Concathedral sections are definitely lacking in textual information. I remained wanting more.

Excellent, concise overview of Ponti's life and career. This doesn't go into great detail about any single project; however, there's information here that isn't in the much larger books by either Ugo La Pietra or Lisa Licitra Ponti. The print and color quality of this book is also better.

Buen libro para tener en una colección sobre arquitectos, puesto que repasa la trayectoria de este sorprendente arquitecto italiano. En mi opinión, esta serie de Taschen es imprescindible para crear una colección con lo mejor del arte o la arquitectura.Sim embargo, para los más exigentes les sepa a poco, tanto por la escasa profundidad de los textos y la corto que resultan solo 92 página para repasar la obra de algunos arquitectos, como por ejemplo Gio Ponti.ATENCIÓN: este libro esta en inglés, aunque otros de la misma colección se pueden encontrar en otros idiomas, incluyendo el castellano.

Ho acquistato un libro che non posso leggere, è in tedesco..la lingua è specificata nei dettagli. Sarebbe opportuno scriverlo anche sotto il prodotto, come avviene per altri libri

Excellente qualité des photographies comme le veut la réputation de Taschen.

Vergognoso libro in lingua francese.....illeggibile per me!!
