Exactly what I needed to go behind my tv. Works great although my bf cracked it when he tightened the screw. So be careful and don’t over tighten

Don't throw away that extra piece!
I like that this wall plate came with a reinforcement piece. I am told that these plates frequently snap from the pressure as you screw them in. I haven't screwed the plate in yet because I was looking for another piece for the electric box (hopefully Amazon can help me out here, too), but so far so good. Be sure to install the reinforcement piece on the *inside* of the box's screw holes. You'll see that if you simply lay the piece on *top* of the box's screw holes, the 3rd short flathead screw cannot reach to be screwed in on the outlet side. You want to install the reinforcement piece on the *inside* of the box first, then install the actual plate on. I took time to explain here because when this item was shipped to me it did not come with any instructions whatsoever. I almost didn't use the reinforcement piece until my husband explained what it was and the frequency of wall plates snapping. Lastly, this took Rustoleum oil-rubbed bronze spray paint very well if you're planning on painting to match existing decor.

Very handy to mount two gang boxes with power and coax up high behind wall mounted TVs. Keep cords out of reach of kids.
