This is a bit expensive for how trivial a product it actually is.But, it totally does the job perfectly, and is better than making my own.I mounted on the side of my rear rack.Lock slides in and out easily, but won't just fall out. It's strong and very convenient to use.

It is really unlikely this will work with your bike for a number of reasons. first it come with no instructions. advertising on tiny unreadable cards yes, but no instructions. most likely is the lock is too big to fit on your bike, then you need there to be tabs on the back of your seat. I have never even seen a bicycle that comes with tabs, and there is no way to install tabs on my seats. Then you need to have the proper bar above the tire. It would not work with my giant mountain bike for all 3 separate reasons. really a waste of my day and time. i hope this company goes broke. For the price of $34, what you get is really disappointing. literally 2 pieces of leather and 2 bolts and no instructions.

I have a road bike with stout panniers, and have been disappointed by this holster. My Kryptonite NY Mini pops out while riding - dangerous on a busy road - despite the installation being done correctly. The lock was damaged on one such recent failure, and I'm now buying some velcro straps to augment the leather holster.The installation wasn't particularly difficult, but you have to unthread the existing straps, as another reviewer pointed out, and then re-thread them before driving the screws into the nuts. The screws themselves should be longer, and it's a hassle as a result.Not worth the cost, but could be if they added a leather clasp to the bottom to hold the "U" of a lock in place, and included better hardware than the existing screws/nuts.

Well built and does exactly what was advertised. They have a install video, but the video glosses over a lot of details.The hardware was poorly chosen. One of the small screws and washers came undone via normal use (I assume vibration from biking) and I had to go to the hardware store to get another set.

It may be good for a bike that you plan to put on permanently. I need something that I can quickly remove. Great for steel hipster bikes and crust bikes. A wee bit weird, but I'm sure it works great if you have a groovy beard and ironic sunglasses.

First, you need a seat with brackets for the lock holster to hang from. I paired it with Brooks, also English saddle. Love great quality products!Holster

There was no good spot to put my U-lock on my small step-thru bike, so this was the perfect solution. I attached to the rack on my rear wheel--it was super easy to install, looks great, and in 6 months of having it (and riding my bike every single day) my lock has never come close to falling out.

Update: completely fell apart after a few months. This just doesn’t stand up to the stresses of daily bike commuting. Save your money.Love how this takes the u lock out of the center of my frame so that I can easily put the bike over my shoulder when going up stairs. One thing I didn’t consider is how this might block my rear light, but most of it shines through the center of the lock. The only thing is that I am seeing it from eye level, but how much of the cross strap is blocking the light from someone with a more elevated perspective (like pickup or suv drivers). It’s something to think about, but overall I am happy with the purchase and eager to see if it has what it takes to survive my daily commute.

Looking for a holster that doesn't leave a noticeable visual footprint on my bike. This item is a simple, minimalist contraption that holds kryponite or litelok x1. Would recommend using a torque wrench to tighten fasteners

Purchased 2 of these. One came defective, sent it back and received another one which just broke after using it with a small U lock. Very expensive and not solid. I’d like to receive a replacement or refund but Amazon doesn’t allow me.

This product is nice. It keeps my bike D-lock where it needs to be.
