Works great on wet surfaces.
I wear a size 6 women's & ordered the 5.5 M. The size was perfect. I bought this shoe for a trip to Playa del Carmen Mexico to use at Xplor Park. I needed a light weight shoe that could get wet, dry quickly & had no slip soles. The shoe exceeded what I needed. These shoes are amazingly comfortable, easy to slip on, has lots of grip, dried quickly & had no odor after drying. The rocks & pathways at Xplor Park can get very slippery & I can be a little klutzy. I slipped only once climbing a wet incline but that was due more to being in a hurry than the grip of the shoe. I am beyond satisfied.

Pretty cute
It looks more like an actual shoe online as opposed to a water shoe. This is definitely a water shoe but better looking that the average water slipper.

They are great shoes for everyday
I got these shoes and the smell of rubber was insane, however, after about an hour or so of letting them be out of the bag, the smell went away. On first try, they fit very well even with socks but they have a little bit of room in the front but the back where the heel is it is so snug it holds your foot just right. Where my toes are there is a little extra room which I don't mind because I have flat feet but even then there is still a good amount of room where you can feel your toes sliding in the shoe. They are super comfy, I wear them around the house or to walk my dogs or the occasional stroll to the store but they are not for fashion & not for hiking! If you step on a rock you will feel the rock!

Exactly what I was looking for.
Size - I am normally US 9.5 but I had to get US 8 of this shoe to be snug enough to fit well. Don’t be afraid to return and get your real size, the fit on this type of shoe really matters a lot.Replacements for my old vibram 5 fingers. I chose these because of the design, and the nice traction on the bottom. I won’t be using these on hard surfaces, mainly trail running and hiking.

The alternative to FiveFingers you're looking for (if you take out the liner).
I love FiveFingers shoes and I would wear them all the time except for 2 things, they take time to put on and it's hard for anyone to take you seriously when you wear them. Face it, you can't even take yourself seriously, but they are so comfortable and invigorate your foot senses so well that you're willing to overlook this.So this spring I decided to look for minimalist shoes with toes connected because first, I wanted something I could slip on and off without having to sit down that weren't flip flops, and second, I needed some new summer shoes. I wear a 10.5 shoe (44 Vibram) and ordered these in a 9.5 based on people saying they run large. They fit great. I wore them for 2 days and thought they felt good, didn't look too water-shooey, and they were easy to slip on and off. My only complaint was that they were too mushy under the foot and didn't give me that minimalist feel I get from Vibrams. On the second day when I pulled my foot out of the left shoe it pulled the liner up a little. I grabbed it to put it back in and then it dawned on me to just take it out. So I took it out of both of them and have been wearing them that way since. The result is about exactly what I was looking for in a minimalist shoe with the FiveFinger feel, but with connected toes. Yes, they still look a little dorky, but I believe that's more a result of us as people being used to feet not actually looking and being shaped like feet. We think covered feet should look like shoes, but shoes are a bad representation of the shape and elegance of a naked foot.So for now I am wearing these daily. They are a ton cheaper than Vibrams. If they only last a summer, like a typical pair of flip flops, then I will be fine with that. I bought the black ones, but there are many styles that would probably look even more like shoes than water shoes. I didn't order them because I didn't want to wait for shipping. The only thing that I think would be better is if Vibram made some of their FiveFinger styles in a connected-toe shoe. I don't know why they don't do this because their shoes look really nice and I think it would expand their customer base. But for that you would also have to pay Vibram prices. I have an original pair of the kangaroo leather KSO Treks that are still going, so the price would be worth it, but until that day happens I'm fine with these babies for under $25 a pair shipped. If you are in the same situation as I was just buy a pair and try them. They fit the bill!

Great at protecting feet from rocks, hot sand and pavement. Dries very slowly though.
I wore these on rocky shorelines and as regular shoes while traveling to/from beach areas on Eleuthera. My feet were protected from glass, rocks and stinging critters. I wore a foot support for plantar fasciitis every time and they still fit ok. Plenty of toe room. I did get a weird blister under my middle toe (?) on one foot from constant wear, but that could be a result of how my foot sat with the brace on or sand getting stuck and rubbing. I didn’t notice until I touched my foot one evening. Did not rub on my ankles and the top edge is padded too. Plenty of bungee lacing to accommodate wide feet I would think. These do not keep out sand and are a mess after trudging through deep sand. A quick ocean rinse is enough to at least not bury your car foot well In sand however. A thorough cleaning upon getting to fresh running water is essential otherwise the sand lingers. Unfortunately, they don’t dry quickly even when left outside in the sun and wind. I had to pack them up wet (ew) to fly home. Padded (but not orthotic) insole was comfortable.

Like vibrams, comfortable, great price.
Easy to slip on and off. I purchased my regular size 9 and can wear them with socks. My toes do not meet the rubber sole toe protector, but I don't think I would like them if they were smaller. There was no break in period for me, fit comfortably right out of the plastic bag they came in.Feel just like vibrams. Lots of width in the toe area and a little extra rubber under the heel and toes where I would normally wear shoes down first. I don't expect them to last under $30, but if I get 6mo I'm happy. They have glue showing around some of the seams, and a few people told me they thought I was wearing socks. These would be perfect for water sports or beach walking. I wear them everyday because they stop my knee and hip pain. Feet are not meant for arch support, barefoot shoes are a lifesaver for me. Made in china.
