I spent a good amount of time choosing a water bottle for our new puppy and reading lots of reviews. I decided on this one as it held enough water for a long walk but was still compact with the “drinking section” not sticking out. It also has a loop handle which I can either carry or attach to a bag.I’d say that the bottle is 90% leakproof. I’ve had the odd occasion that a little has spilled if I’d not turned the lid super tight but this hasn’t bothered me.The metal means that the bottle is sturdy (it’s been dropped many a time) and the shape of the plastic drinking section is perfect for our puppy to drink from and anything that he doesn’t drink can be easily poured back in to the bottle for later, so we’re never stuck on a walk without water.

Revising my review of this product from 5 star to 1 star. It might just be the particular one I have but it's leaked one too many times now (including today when I'm out with my dog on a hot day and we've ended up with no water). It's not that you can't close the top tightly (you can) but unless you're putting it upright in a dedicated side pocket of a rucksack the top just jostles itself loose. Ended up with soaked electronics as well as a dehydrated dog. Useless and fit for the bin!

My dog is pretty old now and gets thirsty more frequently on walks, previous versions I've tried have leaked and not been the best design really. Thankfully this doesn't leak at all. It stores a decent amount of water and it's reasonably lightweight and easy to carry. My dog had no problems drinking from it at all, she's the size of a large collie. The only minus I'd say, and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is the top can be hard to get off. It's a very smooth surface so you've nothing to grip onto. I might draw some lines on it in superglue to create some texture and see if that works. Otherwise easily the best dog waterbottle I've had. I'd 100% recommend it.

The item was good quality, the body is made of stainless steel that seems high quality. If dropped I am confident it wouldn't be dented easily. The plastic area you add the water is rigid - i'd be confident it would withstand some hard wear and tear. I'd recommend for any pet owner!

I have a lurcher, she's a greyhound whippet cross, so she's quite tall. She loves to run at high speed and really stretches herself when she is out. So this water bottle has been indispensable in the recent hot weather, it contains enough for her and any friend that she brings over for a drink. It hasn't leaked at all, and the water quite cool. The top which forms the bowl from which to drink has been used by many different breeds of dog and none have had a problem with it.I fill it up and throw it in the boot of my car, then hang it from my wrist as we walk and play, and forget about it until she needs a drink. Just what you'd want really.

Much easier than taking a bottle and trying to find something small enough to carry in a pocket but big enough for her to drink from. The scoop is very handy as I can fill as she drinks, being a spaniel she's got a short attention span so if she empties the cup she's off running again. With this she only stops when she's had enough.

This is brilliant! My puppy has moved to dry food and as a result drinks waaaaay more than he used to and his tiny drinks bottle is no longer sufficient for our Big Walks. This, on the other hand, is perfect because any left-over water in the “bowl” goes back in the flask rather than on the ground. Less waste, longer walks. The bright yellow is lovely and differentiates the puppy’s bottle from the myriad family bottles and flasks in our kitchen. The screw top is easy to use and tight enough to be leak proof, while the wide neck makes the bottle easy to clean. Sturdy, good quality item and nifty design. Very happy. Worth paying a bit more for something that does the job well.

This is a great idea and beats carrying a separate bowl around.Once full the water stays nice and cold and it’s simple to unscrew the lid and offer water for your dog.The lid is a decent size but not sure how larger dogs would manage.Mine dog’s a Lab and he just about managed to get his snout in to lap the water.Sometimes the lid doesn’t screw in properly and it can be a bit fiddly to put on.The handle on top is handy.Easy to clean thanks to the wide opening. Not sure if it’s dishwasher safe but it’s simple to wash in warm, soapy water.Great range of colours.Metal will dent it dropped.I’ve since purchased another one as a gift.Bottom line - I would purchase again.
