Nice upgrade from the Fenix 3
I've had the fenix 3 (non heart rate) for years and it still works great, but the Fenix 6 is definitely a welcome upgrade. It's has a bigger and more quality screen in a smaller package, so it fits more comfortably on my wrist. Longer battery life, and the heart rate sensor is pretty darn accurate. I've tested it while wearing a chest strap connected to a different device. There are some random times when the numbers aren't lined up, but for the most part, they are within 0-3 bpm. Even worked great on an ocean swim. Awesome having the maps for hiking, and the ability to have other smartwatch features like Garmin Pay make this a worthy purchase. Really happy with the size versus the 3, which is essentially the same as the 6X. If you're a Strava fiend and track everything from runs, bikes, and hikes, get this watch.

Great Watch
I love this watch with one gripe. I did buy this watch when it was on sale, but I almost always try to purchase items at a discount. I previously had 2 different Samsung smart watches before getting my fenix 6. This watch blows them out of the water with fitness tracking and gps ability. My other watches had a sim card but I almost never used it outside of two different occasions. Garmin did a fantastic job and I will continue to purchase their watches in the future. I did however have to send in my watch just a month ago because of ongoing stuck button issue that a lot of these watches have. That is my only gripe and will not stop me from purchasing again.

Good watch--but be patient
I finally upgraded from my Garmin 910XT to the Fenix 6 Sapphire. This is a huge improvement, BUT there are so many options and capabilities that it will take me time to learn what works best for me. I've seen several YouTube videos on the watch and had an idea on what to do, but it's different after actually using the watch. Lessons learned--I don't listen to music from my watch because it burns down the battery much faster (for longer >6 mile) runs and I usually have a phone with me anyway. I still want to learn how to hear the running pace meter. The sleep, fitness, and physical monitoring are really good, but I wish the VO2 max didn't require running/biking outside. When it's too icy or too deep of snow, I'd rather run inside and it signals your training status is moving backward even though I may be doing harder indoor training. Overall it's a good watch, the real validation for me is how does it perform in 2-3 years from now.

Great smart watch for those who exercise
This watch is perfect for those who like to exercise, particularly if you do more than type of exercise during a session. It is great for multisport. I wear this watch all day — I like it better than any other smartwatch. And since the world has changed, my expensive dress watches sit in a case, and I wear the Garmin Fenix 6 every day. Also it is a nice upgrade over the Fenix 3. Battery life is excellent and I like the way it looks and feels.

Swapping to Garmin from Apple Watch was the best decision!
Absolutely outstanding watch. I had an Apple Watch 4 before this that I dropped and broke the screen. This watch was more expensive but the features available for running and golf are awesome. The Apple Watch never did auto shot tracking like the Garmin does while I’m golfing. It’s very apparent when I get to each mile when I run. Apple Watch was good for GPS but it didn’t alert you very well. Battery life for me is about a week and I run 3-4 times for about 30 minutes and walk 5-6 times for about 15 minutes and wear it 24-hours of the day. The Apple Watch had to be charged daily. The exercise screens are customizable but are very helpful out of the box. For instance, the hike activity shows altitude, ascent, descent, and has a map that shows trails. You can even create your own custom activities. I was hesitant to switch from Apple to Garmin but now that I have, I will never look back. As a nice side note, I like that it looks like a normal watch. It fits much better in the business world.

Delivers on the promise of a proper watch/fitness tracker
Great battery life, VERY customizable and basically just like any of the other watches I own in comfort and style. It would have been 5/5 star on everything if the built in maps were a bit more towards what I use for hikes and walks, but that's a minor thing as you can add other maps to the device.Highly recommend this purchase if you're serious about a good watch that does a ton for fitness, hiking and doesn't distract you from what you're doing.
