I love the MacVoil smoothing protein for my hair. I have the MacVoil keratin treatment which I got in lieu of the traditional Brazilian blow-out. The MacVoil keratin system doesn't have the toxic stuff that the Brazilian treatment does and MacVoil is NOT listed on any of the websites warning against it. The MacVoil shampoo & conditioner is required with the treatment, so I initially bought it from my stylist. However, I ordered extra of this conditioner once I realized how good it is.This conditioner makes all the difference. Leaves my hair soft. I use it after shampooing, as a cowash, AND as a leave-on conditioner. When used as a leave-on, I use only about a tablespoon or so (my hair is thin - -about a 3C). I use it in combination with Carol's Daughter mimosa hair honey. Also -- very important -- when used as a leave-in, I follow the water, then conditioner, then oil routine: First I first dampen my hair, then I put on the conditioner and rub it all over until my hair softens, and finally I add the Carol's Daughter Mimosa to seal it in.
