Too few seeds!
Great idea. However young hands trying to follow directions led to few plants growing . Very depressing to my 6 year old twins!π₯Ί

super cute idea, but needs some changes
This is our second time purchasing this product. Both times we followed the manufactures instructions with terrible results. The first time some cotyledons popped up, but never developed past that then withered and then the soil got very moldy and we had to dispose of it. We bought it again for another daughter and made some changes learning from previous experience without much better results. The second time we left the plastic dome off and I actually bought some wildflower seeds because i was concerned that maybe the other seeds were not viable. The original seeds had the same results with the cotyledons popping up, then withering. The wildflower seeds I added, did same thing. So, we carefully removed the viable plants and added potting soil instead of the growing medium provided and added more wildflower seeds. after a few days, there are multiple plants that have grown their true laves and have thick stalks instead of the long leggy ones.Would I buy this again, Yep, but here is what I would do from the beginning1) Throw the growing medium away, use potting soil, or soil from the backyard.2) Add my own low growing wildflower seeds. (i don't know if the seeds that come with it are viable or not)3) if growing inside, not use the plastic dome, if growing outside consider using the dome until the first cotyledons pop up, then remove itWhy I would buy it again despite all the extra steps1) Its a cute presentation for a gift, especially for our young daughters who LOVE fairy garden stuff and it is a super cute garden that they can grow and care for in our kitchen2) providing my own soil isn't an added expense, since I already had it3) buying a new packet of seeds that I am confident in the viability is a a cheap added expense.4) Both daughters have loved getting this as a gift and have loved taking care of it.Hope this helps others have successful fairy gardens. :)

Disappointed
Ordered this for my daughter for part of a birthday present. It is pretty cheaply made and not worth the $10, maybe $5. There were barely any seeds in the packet. Even my 6 year old noticed the poor quality saying "these fairies are cheap"

Awful small
I really thought it would have been a little bit bigger it's probably no wider than a 2 liter bottle in size
