Unfortunately, this umbrella stand did not hold the umbrella upright even in a light wind, less than 10 mph. Then a stronger gust, maybe 15 mph, bent the plastic sleeve that the umbrella fits into. Cannot recommend this item.

We are very disappointed with this product. It is the second, maybe third umbrella stand we have ordered from Amazon for other locations with success and this is the worst one by far... others perfect. It is smaller in diameter (base) and shorter in pipe to hold umbrella. When assembled, umbrella wobbles and is constantly crooked. The crooked drives me nuts! The first one (pipe that holds the umbrella) rusted out... we live in Florida. Threw all packing away bc of Corona so can't send it back. Very disappointed!!

We loved the design and bought it for the good reviews and sturdiness.We had been very careful with the stand. Took umbrella out when done each use (maybe 10). Put the umbrella in yesterday in the yard and came out to it on the ground. The metal vertical cylinder broke from the stand. SOOOO glad no one was under or near it at the time! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

It looks and feels cheap; it was discolored in places. I returned it.

This would be fine for very small umbrella but a standard size umbrella tips over with just a bit of wind. screw is included but with there is only a hole on one side so it only bends your umbrella pole.

I really wanted this to work out, but it was already starting to crack when I received it. I had not received an umbrella yet and placed the stand on the deck. Returned 3 hours later and it split down the middle. Now, I must return it. Glad Amazon does not make me pay for poor quality.

We purchased a very heavy grass umbrella with a bamboo pole and a regular base wouldn't hold it. I purchased this base and it's perfect

I paired it with an Elite Shade 9’ umbrella. Good weight and size. Confident it will hold it in brisk winds.
