REPAIR MY NEW CHAIR PLEASE!!!
*2nd updated review—March 2021: The A900 I purchased for Christmas in 2019 had been working wonderfully once I received a replacement remote control from the company. That is, until yesterday... I was about five minutes into a massage when an irregular sound occurred and my right side felt loose. I turned the chair off immediately and got out to discover that a metal screw-in part on the right side of the chair (near the shoulder) had become unattached to the body of the chair. It appears that this may be the only issue, but it seems there needs to be a specific kind of tool or process to repair this issue. Until then, my chair is unusable. I’m hoping the company will now fix this issue by honoring their 36 month warranty. I’m glad that is has this warranty, something I did take into consideration prior to my purchase, but it is unfortunate that issues are forcing it to go into effect. This is the second time it’s been inoperable within 15 months of buying new. I’m revising my rating to 1-star until I can use it again... PLEASE REPAIR MY CHAIR!!!*Updated review—April 2020: Company contacted me within two days after posting a product review—if you need to contact the manufacturer this is the way to go, their phone number and email address is ineffective. They sent me a new remote that was delivered in six days. The chair hasn’t had any issues since the new controller has arrived, which resolves many statements in my original review. I’d like to get more acquainted with the different settings now that the chair is fully operable (and, I’d like to give it some time to ensure there are no further mishaps) so I will give another future update, but so far so good!*Original review—March 2020: Bad purchase! Tried for several weeks to contact manufacturer through email and phone, no response. Remote ISN’T WORKING on chair which defeats the purpose of paying more on this item than on cheaper competitors. Chair comes with 3-year warranty, only for two months after purchasing me wanting to put that into effect. Due to lack of responses from seller, return window has closed. Nightmare experience, I just want the chair to operate as it should. If you want to spend a hefty amount of money on a hassle, this is the chair for you.

Great massage but features are poorly documented, I still highly recommend but wish Ootori
would put more effort into the software and documentation. This chair squeezes your arms and legs, rubs your feet, and has two types of rollers that can massage from your glutes all the way up to the base of your skull. I'm 6 feet tall and constantly have knots in my neck, so I did a LOT of research before picking this massage chair. My wife and I have been talking about getting one of these ever since we test drove (sat?) in one at a random store that sold massage chairs and hot tubs. We sat in that first chair and were like wow, that was fantastic. We could spend a lot of time in a chair like that. Then the sales person told us it was $7k and we realized there were lots of other places we could spend our time. This chair can do all the stuff that super expensive chair did. Where the rollers go, how hard they press, the airbag hugs, heated back. It has the motors and the rollers and all the mechanical stuff to give you a massage as good as that other chair. And out of the box it is pretty darn good. The auto programs all do good things. One of my teenagers was grafted to the chair for the first 2 weeks we had it. The manual controls will let you (somewhat clumsily) guide the chair to exactly whatever you were looking for that the auto programs didn't do quite right. My primary complaint is that the manual doesn't explain any of the massage features of the chair. They haven't documented how the remote works, how the software works. There is some sort of auto sensing program that happens when the chair starts out. I have no idea how it works, but my wife and I both had a couple of pretty painful incidents because we were doing something wrong (probably leaning forward when it did it's sensing thing). The chair uses airbags to massage your forearms, shoulders and legs. The airbags also squeeze you in place so the rollers can give you a deeper massage. When it's massaging your forearms, they are locked in place. It's almost impossible to get an arm out when the airbags are doing their thing. You generally don't want to, it feels great. It does NOT feel great if the chair miscalculates your size and decides that the bones in your shoulders should be treated like soft tissue. That was an alarming experience. You are physically locked in place. Keep the remote in your hand, because that's the only way to make it stop (a good policy while you are getting to know what the chair actually does). If you dropped it in your lap like I did you'll realize very quickly that you won't be leaning forward or standing up until you have the chair's permission. Now I love that this chair does a real solid, intense deep massage if you want it to. When it's doing exactly what I want, I can feel it breaking down the knots in my back and neck and it's like heaven. I can lean back and push into it a little bit more too, and the motors, rollers and tracks push right back. They don't slow down or whine. Nothing bends or wobbles. It really is a well made chair, but I can't figure a bunch of things I'd like to know about how the chair works.I'd like to understand auto sensing. The auto massage programs don't go all the way up to the top of my neck, they stop one level lower than the highest the chair can do. No idea why. I can put it in manual mode and get the spot, it would just be much nicer if it did it automatically. There's other stuff going on with the remote I don't understand. Lights and levels and readouts that probably mean something. No info in their manuals or on their website. I've contacted customer service and they didn't have any answers, but I did convince them to forward my email on to someone so there's hope. There's 2 other things I wish the chair had. 1- a custom massage mode (like a build your own version of the auto programs) 2- save settings from previous session. (there are things like turning the heat on and setting the chair to zero gravity that you have to do different stuff to make happen. The heat setting is buried in the menus so you have to click through a bunch of stuff to get to it. Zero gravity is a button, but it's easy to forget and then your letting yourself be punished by normal gravity. Turning on the bluetooth speaker is buried in settings as well.) These are just minor gripes, the features are there, just not as convenient as I'd like. Custom massage mode would take this chair from being pretty great at the price to something I might sell my kids to own.

Seriously like sitting in heaven
The media could not be loaded. I sat in this chair getting massages all day on the day I got it and it is amazing. The first time I used it, I fell asleep for two hours. It is beautifully comfortable and the massagers are perfect. I have wanted one of these chairs for as long as I can remember and am truly blessed to be at a point in my life to be able to afford one. The size capabilities are a bit exaggerated. I am 6' and 350 lbs and it just barely barely fit me. If your height or weight are more than mine, be careful. Once I got in it and turned it on though, omg, I never thought a chair could make me feel that good. Forget work, I wanna be in this chair all day, every day. No idea what those negative reviewers are talking about because this chair is magnificent! So happy I got this as an early Christmas present for myself!

Do NOT buy!!!
We thought this chair was going to be amazing and turns out it was very cheaply made and not comfortable at all. You cannot adjust the chair to one area you want to massage and when you first turn on the chair it’s just starts automatically going. My husband is 6’2 300lbs and this chair does NOT fit him. I would not recommend this massage chair, we ended up getting one from a furniture store that was exactly what we were looking for. Thankfully Amazon return was easy and the rep I spoke with with externally helpful!

Buyer beware
Don't buy this chair with first trying it out in a store. It wasn't designed well and is a very poorly conceived remote control. Very uncomfortable.
