I had a specific space between the front door and the front window. This rack was as long as I could get within that dimension. One screw went into a stud, the other one went into an anchor. It holds my coats and hats great and none have ever fallen down. Yes, it is MDF painted back board with steel hangers, but it looks great and is sturdy.

Sturdy, well-made coat hook rail. Basic design, no frills. A good value for sure.

We removed the hooks, painted the wood Chinese red, replaced the brass hooks. It looks fantastic and is very convenient in our small foyer.

I needed more spaces to hang sweaters and jackets in a downstairs closet. When I thought about what I wanted, I envisioned a white piece of wood with white metal double hooks; and this product is IT! We did use wall anchors, and it is very sturdy on the wall. The hooks are also sturdy as well as rounded so they hold the garments really well without damaging them. It looks as great as it functions. Our first unit arrived with one end hook broken. We contacted amazon and they immediately sent a replacement. We didn't realize until we got the 2nd rack that the first one was improperly packed. There was bubble wrap around it, but it was loose. The second rack had the bubble rack so tightly sealed around it that we had to cut it the entire length of the rack. That tight wrapping must be what protected it, because the replacement one arrived in perfect condition. The one thing I would recommend is that the product be photographed on a dark background - it's really hard see a white product on a white background.

Its ok. Its a good vlue for the money. The only issue is that the one corner was dented in, and it seems like more trouble than its worth to send it back. The corner isn't really visible where I hung it, so its not a huge issue.

Great coat and hat hooks

I bought this item for an entry way. In a small apartment this is a must have. My spouse hangs his uniform from work on it and a heavy harley jacket leather, hats, and almost anything. It's better than the chair or floors! Love it. Easy to install. Functional storage and great value make this rail a great choice. Worked great for our laundry area entry.

Given that the price of this rack is actually less than what the individual hooks would have cost me, I didn't expect too much out of it, so I was pleasantly surprised by its level of quality.Like all wall-mount items you buy these days, the quality of the included hardware leaves a lot to be desired, so I used my own drywall anchors and screws, using one hole to anchor into a stud and a drywall anchor to attach the other end.I read a review from someone complaining that it doesn't mount across 2 studs (the mounting holes are not 16" apart). But I am not sure how it could have been designed to do so without affecting the aesthetics of this item.
