How to choose a Poly Tarp (Polyethylene Tarpaulin)Poly Tarps are one of the most popular tarps available to consumers due to the wide range of colors, sizes, weights/strength and price. You need to select the right tarp for your application whether you are covering a canopy, carport, construction job, tent frame, outdoor event, yard project or wedding.[Construction]Poly Tarps are typically made of multiple layers with a woven mesh fabric sandwiched between two or more polyethylene sheets.[Reference Parameter]Tarp Thicknessโ This is the actual thickness of the tarp measured in mils (1/1000 of an inch). The larger the number, the thicker the tarp. Typical light weight tarps found in most retail or hardware stores are about 4~6 mils.Reinforcementโ Tarps have additional reinforcement around the perimeter of the tarp to help prevent ripping and tearing.Perimeter ropeโ This is a rope which has been sewn inside the hem at the edge of the tarp to add reinforcement strength to the tarp.Hemโ The hem is formed by folding the edge of the tarp back onto the tarp and then stitching the entire hemmed area.[Warning]Flammable. This Product will ignite and burn if brought into contact with an open flame.Suffocation hazard. Do not allow children to play with tarp.

A little thinโฆ
Just know that this is a very lightweight, thin tarp! Would work fine for many things. Didnโt stand a chance against my catโs light scratching.

These are cheap, but served their purpose for our needs.
Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for with tarps. These are cheap, but served their purpose for our needs. If you're looking for longevity, you need to make an investment in higher quality = more expensive tarps.

I guess it's ok for the priceq
The tarp is on the thin side, but I guess that's what you get for a reasonably priced, on the cheaper side, tarp. It's perfectly adequate for what we need it to do - we have it folded over twice under our kiddie pool to protect from twigs and rocks that could cause holes in the pool.I was a bit disappointed to find some of the grommets completely off centered though. The tarp edge itself was not sewn straight. so the grommets were placed very close to the edge. Again, what to expect from a cheap tarp... we aren't using the grommets so it doesn't matter I guess.

Nice tarp for Budget price
I didn't know how to rate the warmth?Who would buy a plastic tarp for warmth?Anyway I just needed it to cover a wheelbarrow full of firewood at my back door in case it rained or was Misty in the morning and it works great. It's thin and a low budget part but what do you expect for the price it's a great deal does exactly what I needed it to. I wouldn't count on this lasting till the end of time. But you get what you pay for and I'm pleased.

GUARD RHINO Tarp
This inexpensive tarp was the perfect solution to cover my backyard furniture from the elements as we experience all manner of weather systems here in the Northeast, and by that I mean, huge rain storms, snow storms, hot and humid summers, and although my patio set sits under an awning, the tarp is an added layer of protection. Also, we do have stray cats, and sometimes raccoons that lurk about the area jumping from one yard to the next, and I don't want to draw them into my yard with my beautiful lawn chairs. I use the tarp by clamping them down to the legs of the chairs with beach towel hooks (surprisingly strong and grippy), as well as securing them one step further with a bungee cord through the holes in the tarp. It gets the job done!

TARP FOR CAT CONDO LOOKS GREAT
Bought this 6'x6' tarp to put under a 4'4' Cat Condo to protect carpet under Condo from water from overturned water bowl which is in the plastic bin but my 2 to Russian Blue is super strong and sometimes pulls bowl out of bin ~ the tarp is quite thin so unsure how long the tarp will last.
