Cream Ibiza: Mixed By Paul Van Dyk

I totally agree with tom and others review.when i first got this CD i kinda did not enjoy it much. CD one beginning and end was nicei was all lost in between.CD 2 started well + Kuff dam track was nice track 6 and 7 were very powerful too. so i got stuck to cd 2. The initial impression for me was that its not as good as any other PVD albums like reflections, out there , in-between, POD vol2 etc.. .but later after listening to it over sometime i realized the new style and melody in it and the tracks were beautifully mixed plus CD 2 gives a very powerful beats and CD 1 has a lovely house type transition of tracks which now i love the most. it took little bit time to accept the change but both CD's are excellent and nice compilation by PVD + the more you listen to them the more you would want to listen them again. Now i am eagerly waiting for the next one.RegardsUpraj SIngh

This CD is OK I would rate it a 3 people just remember this is not Paul Van Dyk Music he just only remixed it for the music of Cream Ibiza. This is very different from In Between, and Global and Politics of Dancing. This CD is a little between TECHNO, HOUSE and TRANCE he did added the music elements to NEW YORK CITY and LET GO.PVD took a great risk by making this CD since his music is TRANCE but it was a risk that was well worth it. Is shows his fans that he is very versitle mixing different platforms of music. To me this is a show of his real talents when I get tired of 4x4 beats I just play this.There is no doubt the PVD is the top international DJ right now but I would like for him to put an album together with some hip hop artists, I believe that he can take his music to another level.Better yet the only challenge that I would have for him right now is to get together with NEW AGE ARTIST YANNI and SINGER ENYA to lend him their tracks to remix I know that he can do it and it is time for PVD to branch out to different elements of MUSIC.

This is new Paul van Dyk. What I like about this artist is that each of his cd mix compilations is different and great at the same time. For those who know The Politics of Dancing, The Politics of Danicng 2 be ready for new PvD! Cream Ibiza Paul van Dyk is mixture of trance, house, and dance. When I first listened to CD #1 it remind me of afterhours, but it has a lot of well mixed house tracks + some trance tracks and it is very energetic. You could definitelly feel there atmosphere of this world famous club/island. CD # 2 is what you expect from this artist. Those who have seen him life know what I'm talking about...:)! It's trance and especially last 8-10 tracks are sick! Knowing that PvD is not a type of artist who would make CD's just for number and $ you would really enjoy it. This is a master, who always will surprise every fan of electronic music in a good way of course!

I use this music for walking. It is disco with an up fast enough beat that allows me to set a pace of a 15min mile. probably good for exercising in placing stepping. Fun to listen to. It is 97% music only & nothing slow on any of the sound tracks.

Rare to hear a set like this from Paul Van Dyk. From the start of the first CD, it reminded me of Ibiza... The sun going down at Cafe del Mar and into CREAM. By the end of the CD the sun was going up again at the end of a great night out in Ibiza!!!!!

when I saw this album I tough it was going to be amazing, cause CREAMFIELD + PVD should be great. But I have to say that this is a very mediocre album, I think that probably PVD did not pick the songs.CD 1, is not trance, is not electro is regular house/techno you can hear in your local club,CD 2 is a little bit of trance but not close to politics of dancingI think PVD made a favor to a friend or something, is far from all others PVD albums. Before you buy it try to listen some way somehow.

Great tracks, great artists. Couldn't have asked for a better cd from Paul van Dyk. Just wish some tracks were a little longer. But not serious :)

This is a great dance/trance mix that doesn't quite get 5 stars because there are a handful of tracks on CD1 that let it down. From playing both CD's right through, I would say CD1 is more soft trance and some of the tracks are very, very short, it seems they are just getting going and then it changes to the next track. CD2 really brings it home though, it is full on trance and melodic. Pump up the volume on CD2 on a Friday/Saturday night and you will not be disappointed.
