This has quickly become my granddaughters favorite!

I bought this book for my 2.5 year old who adores the FP Valentine's Day is Here. In the VD book each flap hides a surprise. In this book the kid is raking leaves - lift the flap and the kid has raked the leaves into the basket. A bush has ears behind it, lift the flap and there is a bunny. So boring. I would have imagined they could have done all sorts of things with kids imagining their costumes and then making said costumes . Something, anything less predictable. A kid is at a candied apple stand, the flap reveals - shockingly - the kid has purchased a candied apple. The VD has a concentration type match the image under the flap page, and a pictures that reveal shapes page. This has the word blue written under the flap that reveals blue birds in a nest. My girl opened each flap with hope and was really disappointed. With some I watched her close the flap to see what was the difference bc it was so slight and so dull. A girl in a super hero costume, lift the flap she is holding an apple. They have a kid bobbing for apples, has anyone done that since 1965? This book is lame and boring. It doesn't take much to entertain 2.5 year old why couldn't they manage it?

We had the old version of this. They remade it. It's much cheaper-made and they redesigned the pages and pop-outs. Really poor design now. Not a well-written or interesting book. The games are half-hearted and not done well.
