VardsafeVS701C Replacement Backup Camera Case Housing Fits MB Sprinter Van (Slightly Modification May Be Required)

I have a 2017 Sprinter van and my wife backed into something and cracked the housing on our back up camera. I order this housing to replace the cracked one thinking it would be a simple replacement. It is not.The actual camera sits in the housing and is held in place by a bracket. The new housing has a completely different bracket and the screw holes are different so I can't use the original bracket to hold the camera into place.So, my idea was to epoxy my old housing "bottom" together and use the new "top" housing in it's place. It looks like it will fit but there are gaps all around the outside. It is protecting from impacts but not from rain/snow.

Fitment on my 2015 sprinter perfectly! No modification needed!!!
