This has found a home in my "every time I'm outside" kit. Whether it's car camping or a hike in site, fishing, or opening Amazon boxes, this is there.I need to look into the best way to sharpen, but its still sharp after 6 months of use.I don't use the ferro rod often, but it works great.

Excellent for a Car Kit or Bug Out Bag
Bought two of these, one for each of the wife and I's cars. Living in Montana and sometimes being required to drive long distances in harsh winter conditions means that having something like this available in a worst-case scenario is not a terrible idea. So I built small survival packs for our vehicles, with MREs, warm clothing, sheltering gear, fire starting gear, and a medical kit along with one of these Companion Spark knives. Lightweight, comfortable handle, includes a back-up firesteel, spine ground for such a purpose, stainless steel blade for low-maintenance, but can also sport an incredibly sharp edge... What's not to like? A great, low-investment, high value option for such a gig. Couldn't ask for a better option. Thanks, Morakniv!

What a great knife!
This a great knife. It has a very nice durable case and good belt clip. But the knife is perfect. It is very sharp (be careful) and just the right size. The fire starter is amazing. This will be the one knife I always take hiking.

Great knife for the $ Good starter knife or to save your quality knives you don't wanna beat up.
This was my first "Bushcraft Knife". It sharpens easily and stays sharp. I definitely put it through it's courses out in the woods and at camp. Cutting, slicing, breaking down bigger wood for kindling, even banging on the spine to split wood. The latter is not recommended but, I've done it when needed and it took the beating.The only downside is, the ferro rod gets hung up/yanked off easily when trapsing through thick brush/woods. Lost mine pretty quick.Other than that, I am pleased. I'm here shopping now for another Mora. Going next step up.

Great knife, lost it in the move.
As the title of this review suggests, I loved my Morakniv knife! It was pretty sharp, and it had a flint rod built into the butt of the knife. That is, you could twist a part of the handle, and out slides a flint rod! Perfect for emergencies!Only problem? I left the knife behind when I moved from my previous residence to my current apartment. What a shame!Get one! They are *quality* knives!
