This is a very small razor and is great for detailing a beard/moustache/goatee. The large and small sides of the razor allow shaving in small areas that require trimming and landscaping. I have not found the blades to be dull as some others have complained. Getting the correct angle at the point where the razor meets the skin is important and allows the blade to glide smoothly. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I have been shaving with a Merkur safety razor for over 10 years and despite the negative reviews decided to give this product a try. I wear a full beard and wanted this razor to help keep my stache and brows tidy. Now I cannot stress enough that when it comes to using any razor prep is key, so lather up or use shave oil. Keeping the razor angled seemed to eliminate any pulling issues and overall I was satisfied with the end result.

Absolutely the most uncomfortable/painful razor I have ever used . Please read the reviews before you waste your money on this torture device . I don't know if it's the angle of the razors edge or if the blades are dull like some reviews have stated but it just pulls at the hairs rather than cut them . I've tried holding it at different angles but there isn't enough shave cream or gel to make this a smooth shaver . It's a great idea and the 2 size edges are perfect but it's so poorly made it's impossible to use . I gave it 3 tries and it just doesn't cut , what a waste of $30 . I tried posting a picture to show the size but it won't upload , at just about 3 inches long it's hard to get a descent grip on the handle .

This razor is fantastic! It works perfectly for those hard-to-reach places and cuts a very close shave.I hesitated to buy this razor for months because of the bad reviews. After finally pulling the trigger, I couldn't be happier. My razor didn't come with blades, so I can't comment on those, but the Merkur Detailing Blades are very sharp and do a great job.The only surprising thing about my purchase was the physical size of the Razor. It is very small in the hand, but after using it several times, seems to be sized just right for what it's meant to do.If you have experience with a safety razor, and need something for under the nose, or detailing, this razor will become one of your favorites!

If you like the safety razor experience, and you have a mustache or goatee or both, this is a fine additional razor to get. I probably use it once a week for touchups, and while the blades aren't supersharp, they're fine for single use. Look at it this way: this is a very specialized tool, and if you need it for your style, there's nothing else out there like it.

J'ai déjà eu ce rasoir que j'ai utiliser des années jusqu'à ce que je le perde. J'ai eu un bris, probablement dans le transport, qui a fait que j'ai dû le renvoyer. Les commentaires négatif que ça fonctionne pas bien sont de personnes qui savent pas l'utiliser correctement. C'est un produit de très bonne qualité et le seul au monde de ce genre. Construction Allemande très durable. Vous pouvez affilée les lames avec du papier 1200 ou plus fin.

Oggetto costruito bene, la Merkur è una garanzia. Francamente mi aspettavo che l'oggetto fosse un po' più grande... Almeno nel manico, invece è proprio piccolissimo. Comunque sodisfatto. Il grande problema è che le lamette di ricambio non si trovano su Amazon, sono specifiche nella forna e solo di marca Merkur. Spero in futuro Amazon rimedi a questa lacuna. Ho dovuto fare un ordine online presso un venditore sconosciuto e pagare le spese di spedizione. Devono ancora arrivare. Speriamo bene.

Ich habe mir dieses kleine Teil für "Feinarbeiten" an meinem Bart zugelegt.Vorab sei gesagt das dieser Rasierer sehr viel kleiner ist als ein normaler Rasierhobel. Er wiegt damit auch entsprechend weniger.Es ist bei der Rasur von Augenbrauen und Bart extrem wichtig das man diese vor der Anwendung gut einseift damit die Haare weicher sind.Dann rasiert der Rasierer auch so wie er soll. Tut man das nicht dann ziept und zieht es und man könnte annehmen das es an Schärfe fehlt.Es fehlt an Angriffsfläche und der Hebel ist eben sehr viel kleiner als bei einem normalen Rasierhobel.Inzwischen kommt das gute Stück bei mir täglich zur Anwendung und er arbeitet ganz vorzüglich.Warum nur vier Sterne?Nun der Preis ist schon sehr hoch mit knapp 30 Euro.

I lost my original Merkur moustache razor during a house move and came online to look for a replacement. I was surprised to read so many ambivalent or negative reviews. My experience over many years of use has been of a well-engineered, nicely balanced item with razor blades suitable for the intended purpose – detail shaving over small areas. It provides precision and a perfectly good shave. Those who have found the blades to be blunt, or of limited life, must be overshaving or using it to cover larger expanses of bristle which is not what it's for. As regards the service from the retailer, this was excellent. Delivery was bang on forecast and the price is competitive.
