Plastic bird perch goes bad and you CAN'T replace the parts
I have 3 of these feeders (2 Blue & 1 Red) the metal seems to hold up well, HOWEVER when the plastic bird pertch's go bad the feeder is garbage because the plastic also stops the seed from falling out. I sent the company an email (see below) and they stated that there were no replacement parts. I'm sorry but what good is a metal bird feeder that has plastic parts which go bad AND can't be replaced."Thank you for contacting us.I am sorry to hear about this! Replacement parts are not available separately for our feeders. They are covered under a 1-year replacement policy"

Good quality
Birds love this feeder. I have over 35 different feeders and this is by far the most popular.

Loved all three feeders... BUT....
These were such a hit with our finches . I had all three of these feeders last year. (Red, yellow and blue). They are very bright and pretty that’s what got my attention to buy these. The finches absolutely LOVED these feeders , were all over them. I replaced the seed around once per week . BUT...Towards the end of the summer we realized a few things that has caused me to buy a different type of bird feeder this year and keep these put away for now.#1. There is such a HUGE mess of bird seed below the the feeders . We would clean up as best as we could so many times but it got to be a pain having to worry about it. We ignored it thinking the birds would just clean it up but there was so much it started sprouting , it attracted RATS and that made us take these down . It’s harder than you think to find a tray to buy to put under it to catch a lot of the seed while the cute little birds are eating and making a mess. Maybe you could make something yourself to catch the seed or buy a tray and hot glue it, I don’t know but not worth the hassle .#2. Not easy to clean. It started clumping up towards the bottom of the feeder and had to dig it out with a long stick and even a bottle scrubber won’t reach to the bottom of the red feeder . Had to and clean with soapy water which was not easy as the bottom doesn’t come off. So birds could get sick if you don’t watch this.#3. No rain guard to help keep water out of the holes.I wish perky pet made attachments like other brands I’ve found on amazon to attach a catch tray to the bottom of the feeder as well as a rain cover to keep the food dry when it rains. If you don’t mind the waisted food and huge mess you’ll love these. I’m still going to try and figure something out but for now we have a different feeder up that you just literally screw a 10” catch tray on below the feeder or not if you don’t want it. The rain guard is very cool too for this other feeder, just not as bright and I pretty as these.

Excellent bird feeder
We just ordered our second bird feeder like this one. The old one had hung out rain and shine for over 4 years and needed a replacement. This is an excellent bird feeder.

Really well-made could use a t-bar Improvement
I really like this feeder I like the fact that has 8 ports I just really struggle with the hole top and hanging it is very difficult if the roof comes off to get it back on also you really have to be careful with the hanger and hang it very gently but other than that it's great. All of my finches like these other feeders that I have where they have their own bar to stand on and face forward to eat so the only Improvement on this could have been they could have made each perch at T Bar so they don't have to eat sideways

A little money, a lot of return
Great little feeder. Do wish the top was metal like the blue one I’ve had for some years as the plastic is not likely to hold up as well as metal. That said, it’s sleek enough that squirrels are finding it hard to do more than shake a bit of food out every now and then to eat from the ground. The birds adore the feeder and because I have 3 hanging together, the spot is ever so popular - especially with the finches.

Birds seem to love this feeder
All our birds seem to love this feeder, I installed a pie tin on the bottom to catch all the seeds the birds waste so it lasts about 2 days when filled and it is easy to fill. I bought this feeder because it was inexpensive and we lose a lot of feeders to the bears and I thought the metal would last longer, so far no bears but I will let you know how it fairs when under attack.

Brightens up my garden. My birds now like it... tentative initially!
UPDATED REVIEW:I've given the birdfeeder 5* now.My other 2 seed feeders emptied & I didn't refill them, which 'encouraged' the birds to investigate this red feeder! And they did. A bit tentative at first but today it was empty along with my other 2! So now I would recommend it & so would my garden diners! I will be buying the yellow version too.INITIAL REVIEW:I've given this item 3 stars based on how the birds in my garden like it. After all it is for them to use.I've other seed feeders in my garden - the clear ones with either metal or green plastic lid & feed stations. I wanted to get away from using plastic, so thought metal was more eco-friendly. But my birds prefer plastic! I have yet to refill this red feeder. There are still plenty of seeds in it, maybe 90% full. It just isn't attracting the birds to it. I personally think it's because of the colour. Red in nature is supposed to be a warning, isn't it? The birds in my garden prefer the old, battered, plastic, stuck-together-with-sellotape one that I've had for a few years. As for me I'd give it 5 stars. It is attractive to me, it brightens up my garden, it is solidly made, easy to fill & clean. It holds about twice as much as my other feeders so, if the birds did feed from it, the theory is I'd spend less time filling it up.If I could get the same feeder in a not so bright colour (neutral, green or brown, wood effect, leaf effect, camouflage etc) I would buy again. I was going to get the smaller yellow one but I'll reconsider that option now.

Could be a winner if redesigned.
Absolute disaster. Does anybody check the feeders before making them. This one lasted one day. What is the point of having the metal tube and top and everything else in flimsy plastic? Also it arrived very dirty and packed into a huge box with lots of paper. Had to be washed and scrubbed ibefore using. The heavy metal top is supported by two tiny plastic parts one of which arrived broken and cannot be neither replaced nor repaired. The one star is for the colour - very pretty. Once redesigned by replacing all plastic parts with steel, it could be a very good feeder.
