Very large quantity creates an unforeseen storage issue.
From a brand that may be an Amazon exclusive as it has not been seen elsewhere, this pack of "Note d'Espresso Arabica Coffee Paper Pods 7g x 150 Pods" is for use in any machine that accepts ESE capsules. It is also the largest known pack size of any brand or capsule type in terms of numbers included and is very well-priced.There is some familiarity with coffee from Nespresso and other broadly similar machines that accept cup-shaped pods although none was ever owned, in one format or another, but not from any paper-based pods. As best known, any variety of coffee from this brand that also offers pods for a range of coffee-makers had not been previously consumed; this purchase is therefore a new experience. The carton is large and will require considerable cupboard or shelf space, about that of a couple of stacked shoe boxes, and may be that used for all beverage varieties offered by the brand. The flavour is dissimilar from previously tasted Arabica coffee from some coffee chains, may possibly require familiarisation, but the blending or roasting may vary. The disadvantage of a carton this large is that, in the event that you sometimes favour an alternative variety or someone wants something different, storing multiples will probably require a dedicated cupboard or shelf although a few each of different varieties could be stored adjacent to the machine in a suitable air-tight container. A variety pack, if one suitable can be found, may be a better choice. The resulting brewed coffee is rich and strongly-flavoured but, whether it is the pods or the espresso machine, the amount of liquid produced can vary from equal to about 40% of the normal volume from one instance to another within the same size of cup.POSTSCRIPT - The Colombia version was a subsequent purchase in order to be able to offer an alternative. The coffee produced is more mellow, possibly an all day drink rather than the stronger 'wake me up' caffeine burst of Arabica. However, the amount brewed from the first two pods used from the Colombia pack was only a third or less of that typically obtained from Arabica despite the water tank in the Morphy Richards Espresso Machine being recently filled to MAX.As anticipated, there is now a storage problem as the two boxes are equal in size and consume a lot of space; a few pods of each type are kept in a container near to the machine ready for use.

Good value
Not the very best coffee I've tasted but it is very good value for money and good for an everyday brew.

Great coffee from these ESE pods, and excellent value!
Makes an excellent and not bitter coffee. Great results with americano, espresso and cappuccino from our Delonghi Coffee Maker.Do not take any notice of the low reviews - if you are daft enough not to do any research and buy the wrong type of pod for your particular type of machine it is hardly the fault of the supplier. (Oh no, my diesel car won't run because I put petrol in it......it must be Shell's fault....DOH!)Regards the environmental complaints I do not have a problem, where we live our local council tip take foil food packets and recycle them so 100% of what is delivered to us IS recycled - 1 - used pods go in the food waste 2 - outer cardboard carton go in the cardboard recycling skip 3 - individual foil packs go in the appropriate bin at the council tipOther great thing is they are also excellent value for money!

Perfect for pump machines (the right size). Save on prep, mess and cleaning.
As above really. If you buy a pump espresso machine like I did you might underestimate the work load created by spooning and tamping of ground coffee. it adds time and effort. These little ESE pods work very effectively- you put one of these in the arm (spoon thingy that attaches to the machine for water to go through) , lock it up to the machine and switch on. You get perfect espresso with a good taste and crema. The pods come with a little tab that helps remove them when spent, and then you throw them away. No mess, no fuss. They work out as good value. They come vacuum packed in sachets which are loose in a biggish cardboard box and , like me, you might find them a challenge to store. I take some out and leave them in a bowl in the kitchen (like a fruit bowl). Overall makes proper pump espresso coffee accessible and hassle free if you have an ESE compatible machine.

Good value but terrible for the environment
Made the foolish decision to read a review which claimed that these are good for the environment/biodegradable. I should have engaged my brain because of course it's clearly stated that each of the coffee pods are individually packaged. This of course means that whilst the pods themselves may be biodegradable (not sure that there is no plastic content at all all in the pod though), the wrappers of course I'm not.The coffee itself is pleasant enough and of course using a pod instead of tamping down ground coffee makes using my smeg espresso maker an awful lot easier. But the packaging doesn't sit right with me. Reason why they couldn't package 50 of these and then allow us to keep them in our freezer or fridge for freshness. Unless the packaging changes I won't be buying again no matter easy and convenient they are to use.But if you don't care about environmental issues or recycling by all means by loads.

This really is good coffee, really good!
I'm new to brewing my own coffee having come from the school of Nespresso pods, but not liking the plastic waste and the thin taste. I love coffee and will travel and pay for proper coffee. I read on T'internet that brewing your own is so much better than plastic pods, however grinding, water types and pressures, portafilter types, timings and weights and ratios were all becoming a little scientific. I came across the idea of paper pods, pre-ground, pre-measured, Italian, and fabulous (So they said) So I invested in all the kit (KitchenAid) to do it 'The right way" and it was fun, but then I tried paper pods in my Espresso machine.. OMG, never going back. No mess, pre-measured, pre-tamped, stunning crema, thick espresso, just 10/10 - These coffee pods are magnificent. Would recommend.. Makes for a Grrrrreat cup of coffee.
