This litter is not a "crystal"-style cat litter; mostly it's some kind of combination of clay and something else. It is much heavier than crystal litter, and based on my experience, it does a very poor job with odor control. It doesn't even clump like a clumping clay litter. Since the litter is in tiny pieces, it also gets tracked all over the place.I bought this thinking it was a "crystal" cat litter (that's usually made of silica) and was surprised to get a clay-style litter when the package arrived. Thank you amazon for helping me with the return. Since this litter is not an actual "crystal" litter, it seems to be over-priced for what you get. On the positive side, I can say is that it's relatively low-dust.
