Great foot massager
I do not have any injuries or conditions but I decided to use this spike ball to massage my feet and it works wonders! I especially like rolling over the arch where it creates a tolerable pain equivalent to that of manual foot massage. I heard this ball is good for sciatica and plantar fasciitis as well and I recommended it to my mother who suffers from sciatic issues. She tried it and fell in love too! Well... There goes the $200 homedics foot massager I bought her for Christmas.. This spike ball takes up less space, is inexpensive and feels great if not better because you control where you want massaged and the amount of pressure applied. The ball is very sturdy and does not budge when my body weight is put on it. I plan on using this ball for rolling out sore muscles that my foam roller can't get very well like the piriformis. If you are second guessing whether or not to buy this, you definitely should.I highly recommend!

This is the only thing I've tried that has significantly ...
This is the only thing I've tried that has significantly reduced my plantar fasciitis pain which had gotten severe after some recent travels with lots of walking followed by my return home with long days standing on concrete for hours when working. I had tried compression socks, night splints, ice packs, wall stretches, as well as rolling my feet over frozen water bottles.. None of these provided significant relief and I was not seeing improvement. This massage ball, combined with the standard towel stretch (where I pull back on my toes while sitting on the floor or couch with my legs straight out in front of me) has finally provided some relief and steady improvement. I stretch fairly aggressively and hold for 30 seconds 3 - 5 times, followed by using the massage ball. I start with a little pressure for a minute or so then add increased weight on it. I will roll most the length of my foot alternating with a circular movement at the front, middle and back. After that, I repeat the stretching 3-5 times. I will complete this routine 3 times a day, or more when I have time. As I used the ball I could feel areas where there was likely some internal scarring on the plantar tissue. The more aggressive stretching combined with the use of the massage ball seems to be breaking up the scar tissue - after a couple weeks of use and I am seeing improvement. The first few steps in the morning still hurt a bit, but significant less and my pain is not as severe at the end of he day. For my situation, this has been the only treatment that helped so it may be worth a try if you likewise are not finding relief with treatments you have tried.

Nice massage ball!
This spiky massage ball is really pretty nice. It is made of plastic and hollow so there is a bit of give to it if you really bear down on it. I mainly roll my feet with this ball and I like to put almost all of my 220 lbs on this little ball - this little ball handles it and relieves my plantar fasciitis tension! The spikes look intimidating, but I really like how they feel on the soles of my feet after a long run. I feel like the spikes stimulate a little blood flow and help my feet recover quickly after a run.Overall, this is a nice quality massage ball. I'm not a doctor - but I'd recommend it to anyone looking to use it for plantar fasciitis relief.

Good product for massaging tight muscles
Have used this product periodically over 5 months. This ball has worked well for deep tissue massaging. It is harder than a rubber spiked ball.DO NOT USE THE BALL CLOSE TO THE SPINE OF EITHER YOUR NECK OR BACK AND DEFINITELY DO NOT USE THE BALL DIRECTLY ON TOP OF THE SPINE.I place the ball between my back and a wall then move my body till I have the ball in the area needing massage. I continue to move my body in circular or back and forth motions while applying pressure to get the ball to massage the area. You really feel the spikes so start out gently. Ease off the pressure if it is too painful and work up to the deeper massage.I use it to massage my upper back/shoulder blades where I have tight muscles from computer work and also along the muscle of my lower back where it meets my hip which tightens up as well. Using it at the top edge of the shoulders where the muscles meet the back really helps with alleviating tightness in your neck muscles but it takes a bit more maneuvering of your shoulder, the ball and the wall. I apply an Arnica gel after massaging. It's size makes it a convenient take along self massager when traveling.

First was great, second was disappointing
I ordered two of these a few weeks apart. I absolutely loved the first one, felt like a quality product and I would've given it 5 stars. However, the second one I ordered had a significantly cheaper feel to it, and I wasn't too impressed since I was expecting high quality like the first one. A little perplexing that the consistency is an issue, but overall the product does its job, so I'd still recommend it, just hope your luck holds up and you don't end up with a sharp, cheap one that is gonna take a little more time to wear down into the quality I expected. 3 stars for lack of consistent production.

Tengo fascitis plantar crónica, la he usado un par de veces y el dolor se remite al momento. Funciona muy bien. Yo la uso cuando estoy sentado viendo la tele. No molesta para nada. La recomiendo.

Great massage ball, would recommend
Great ball for massaging sore muscles. I used it on a 2 week hiking walk almost every evening and it works a treat on my legs and feet. Many others used it too and thought it was great.
