I studied at least fifty different electric skateboards before buying the Macwheel MR1. The only drawback was the single review the Macwheel MR1 had here on Amazon while other e skateboards have numerous reviews, but at the price for the specs (plus cool unique features like LEDs and loudspeaker), the Macwheel MR1 was irresistible. I watched the video posted by the same reviewer and I took my chance... I’ve been very happy and I hope other buyers will help boost the number of reviews this skateboard has. I’ve been very very impressed with this board ever since I got it for my son’s 10th birthday. He is frequently pushing his speed past 20 mph and the range is great. I always have him wear full protective gear of course. The multicolored LED lights are awesome too. I haven’t figured out how to sync music to play from the board yet, but supposedly the board itself has a nice loudspeaker. Reviews I read elsewhere suggested the phone app is buggy so maybe Macwheel needs to work with the developer and make the app better.I noticed (with a lot of online research) that there are several almost identical boards but they either cost more or have subpar parts. For example there’s a copycat that uses acrylic for the board instead of polycarbonate. Acrylic will yellow and may crack with time but polycarbonate will not.Get this board. You save yourself hundreds of dollars and get a really cool product at the same time. Cheers.Update March 25, 2020This board is really great. Fast. Rugged. Very nice board. Small enough to take places but also big enough to ride comfortably. Board has nice flex and good connection with remote with app you can change the color of led lights built into board. Would buy again 10/10.

The board is great, but the wiring is faulty. This is my second board, and I still have issues. It sucks because this board has better features then most, but it doesn’t perform well. It overheats, and now both times while riding it a mere 3-4 minutes it completely stops working and never turns on again. It charges, but will not power on. Please refrain from purchasing this board and find another.

First time owning a skateboard of any type and its awesome. I was a bit scared because I underestimated the flexibility of the board when I stepped on. However, I adjusted quickly to its flexibility. For someone who is not an experienced rider, I got use to the board fairly quickly.I got the board yesterday and testing it out today. It's the perfect length for me (33.5in). It may appear as a longboard but it feels like a skateboard. The sound of the motor sounds clean and not noisy. Can barely hear the motor over the sound of riding on rough roads. Speaking of rough roads, the board can handle it. I suggest increasing the speed setting to go faster as you will slow down a bit traveling on these types of roads. The board can handle my weight (210lbs) with ease.I'm mainly using this board to commute from my apartment to my school's campus and around. According to Google maps, its 3miles using the bike trail to head to campus from my apartment. I was able to travel to campus and back on 1 bar (counting the test run I did prior to). I usually take the bus but lately its been packed, miss the bus because it comes too early, or the bus comes late. I plan on using it to go to the store if I need to grab something real quick instead of having to drive my car. I could walk but its quicker to drive. The board is a little heavy (17lbs) but manageable. I would advise wrapping duct tape around the edges of the handles to prevent cutting yourself (as seen in the pictures).Overall, I would strongly recommend buying this board. I'm glad Macwheel made a skateboard thats affordable for the features and miles it can be ridden, which is 12miles.

Not much to say about what I liked about it, expect for the lights. For I didn't really have a chance to ride it even around my block before it stopped working. The battery wouldn't hold a charge and wouldn't turn on after riding it for not even a day. Kinda disappointed in the product. Even contacted customer service, no response. I ended up just sending it back and getting my money back.

This is an amazing board!!! Especially for a beginner like me. The deck is very flexy and overall just AMAZING. If you're looking for a board--THIS IS A GREAT BOARD. Just don't get confused about the lights because in the instructions it's a tiny bit confusing for me how to work the lights but it gets easier once you figure it out lol. The controller is also very lightweight and the hole for your finger is nice. The modes are perfect for beginners and pros. Also, I noticed another brand you had to push the go button forward for a bit until it started moving, this one goes immediately and the lights are very, VERY vibrant with the solid colors and other modes. It is also nice because it is very easy to turn and the trucks come pretty loose. Overall, GREAT board! :O :D :D :D
