About the Actor Dan Gable's career accomplishments are etched in wrestling lore, from his 1972 unscored-on Olympic gold-medal performance on the mat to his record-setting 15 NCAA titles as wrestling coach (a mark unequaled in wrestling history). He became one of the few former dominant athletes in a sport who is equally dominant as a coach, producing 152 All-Americans and 45 NCAA champions at the University of Iowa. He also coached the 1980, 1984, and 2000 U.S. Olympic wrestling squads.Gable still coaches elite wrestlers while working as an assistant athletic director at Iowa and maintaining a busy speaking schedule. Recently he was selected by President George W. Bush to serve on the President's Council on Physical Fitness.In 2006, the greatest wrestler/coach in history returned to the University of Iowa wrestling staff as an assistant to one of his former wrestlers/assistants, Coach Tom Brands. Gable's Advanced Wrestling DVD
02/15/12 I know nothing about wrestling but purchased the DVD for a 17 year old young man who has faced LOTS of failures in life, except for wrestling in high school. He watched the DVD prior to some competitive matches and even made it to STATE this year. I can only assume that Dan Gable's training message in the DVD helped this young man gain some confidence.

Great instructional DVD
For wrestlers, their parents, and coaches, this is the best DVD that I've watched, paused, rewound, and watched again. Cannot say enough for the quality of instructional material on this DVD.

Fantastic teaching tool for fans, too
This is a great instructional DVD, not only for wrestlers but for fans. I learned a lot from listening to Dan Gable's explanations and watching the demonstrations by the Zadick brothers. What I learned from the DVD has made watching wrestling matches even more enjoyable.

The dvd covers the subject in good depth but it does not cover everything, no series of dvds can to be honest, which didnt bother me because i have some other wrestling dvds and the content fits like a jigsaw with those, so im happy. Good quality and technique.
