You and Only You (Blessings, Georgia Book 1) Kindle Edition

Sharon Sala has entrapped me within this series. Blessings, Georgia is one of those fictional towns that I would gladly live in if it were only real. This town is filled with well meaning, charming, and delightful characters that readers feel like they befriend along the way. Having read the newer books in the series I knew I had to go back and see where everything started and I am pleased to announce that I am just as love with these stories from the beginning as I am with the later ones. It's not too often where readers can find stories that leave an imprint on their lives but this one (and the later books) are. This is a gorgeous series, one that every contemporary romance should read (especially if you enjoy "cleaner" romances, and I honestly cannot recommend it enough.

I read book #2 in this series about 5 years ago and loved it. Why it’s taken me this long to get back into the series is anyone’s guess, but I definitely won’t be going as long between books from now on. Also, it’s highly unlike me to read a series out of order. Not sure exactly what I was thinking, but I do remember reading the first chapter of this book and never getting back to it. I think listening to the audio this time helped me get over whatever hump prevented me from reading past the first chapter before.While this book is ultimately about a romance between LilyAnn and Mike, the town and some of it's residents play a large role as secondary characters. It's more along the lines of how the Virgin River series (Robyn Carr) plays out or the Harmony series by Jodi Thomas. Multi-characters and storylines that eventually converge or connect in small ways to the main romance/characters. In the end, you and only You was a fun read, mixing together some surprising suspense, quirky characters, and a friends-to-lovers romance.

I think this book would have been better if the conclusion had followed the climax; instead, the author dragged the story on past it way too far. Sharon Sala is an experienced writer who has had many books published, but this isn't her best. Parts of the plot just didn't seem to jell together; I didn't think waiting for eleven years for someone to notice a person was believable either, but I guess it could happen--just seems like a lot of time to waste.. I'm giving this book a 3 star rating because of the author's writing--not the plot.

This is the first book in Sharon Sala's Blessings, Georgia series. I had to track this one down after loving book two. In this one Mike and LilyAnn grew up next door to each other. Mike has been in love with her for years, but she has been mourning the loss of her young fiance in the war. Lily has now decided it's time to take her life back and start living again. Read this one and enjoy.

I ordered first three books in this series and am on book 2 now. I love the stories and her style of writing except for the swearing. I would prefer not to have them in there at all even though there is not a huge amount just my preference. Otherwise very talented writer.

I want to go live in A town like Blessings, the people are real, there sorrows touch your heart and they face tribulations with courage and grace...and it ever a Southern tells me Bless your Heart.... I know it for what it is.

I've read one to five...oh my gosh ..they had me crying and laughing... I've bought all of them...when the last is out will be getting it...Sharon sala is a star ..i love all her books I've read... heehee and i think ive got pretty much everyone in paperbacks and on my kindle.. this series is freaking awesome..thank you lady..keep them coming...( also love dinah mccall)...wouldve given it a thirty or more rating if could've.......

A good story about a high school beauty who grows up fat. She lives next door to Mike who has always loved her, but she considers him to be her 'friend.'

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I like the characters and how the author slips in characters for future stories.
