This is handy for straining or scooping from boiling water etc. I liked that ravioli pasta didn’t stick to it. Easy to store upright in utensil jar

Wanted a spider to scoop out pasta or vegetables from pan when I didn’t feel like bending down to pan cupboard to get strainer.Very durable and well made.Decent price.Happy with purchase.

Wires are a little close together than some, but still gets the job done. No hollow handle to trap water. Solder joints look good should last a long time.

The wooden handle on the 7" spider is very loose. It is not worth returning because I will not be using the tool that often. However, it would be better to buy another brand.

I'm a former chef who still does a lot of home cooking and likes to putter in the kitchen. Also I'm a tool junkie :-)I got this to replace an old spider strainer that I got sick of cleaning. I mostly used it for things like straining stock and there are always bits sticking to those things.This strainer is great improvement. It does everything that the old one did but better. The design lends itself to easy cleaning, as does the fact that it is made of stainless steel.The bamboo handle is nice and beefy and well-connected to the basket with a couple of rivets. It's not a full tang but still quite strong. I used it last week when I made a turkey stock for a gumbo and had to fish out bones and all kinds of stuff from a 20 quart stock pot. It works very well and is quite rigid.Overall I'm very pleased with this item. I hand wash so can't comment on dishwashing.

My bf likes to fry a lot of things and my plastic cooking utensils weren't cutting it. We even made a trip to 99 Ranch to see if they had spiders what were worth buying. Nope, they did not. Then I caved and bought this one from Amazon. It's sturdy and made of metal. I liked that there were different sizes to choose from. I opted for this one since I didn't feel like getting the set of 3. Definitely worth it.

Delivery was faster than expected. Product was in excellent shape. The design does not have any metal sticking out, does not snag on cleaning cloths/sponges but is a little harder to handwash than a strainer. The design is very sturdy, rivets hold the half tang wooden handle securely and the basket is super strong. Was able to fill the basket and lower/raise food in hot oil. Very easy to use compared to other designs. The basket is flatter than other products so it's easier to separate fried food. Can't think of anything negative!

Was in a bind needed this for a bbq and it arrived just in the nic of time

Looks nice, cleans pretty easily too. I did notice the handle has a little play in it, but so far has done a decent job of scooping and draining food.

Food gets stuck in some of the stain areas. But all in all a good product.
