When we first got this meat thermometer, it was great! Accurate and easy to use. We were excited to finally have a thermometer that worked and didn’t cost a fortune. Unfortunately, though, it died only 6 months later. We tried new batteries, but that didn’t work. We even were extra careful to not water damage it while washing since it was finally a good thermometer. Disappointing but if you’re ok with replacing every six months then go for it!

Barely had it a few months and it no longer works even though I barely use it. I've tried 3 different kinds of batteries and it is still not working. Kind of a waste of money if it dies so quickly.

It would be great to find a digital thermometer like this that lasts at least a year, even if I have to pay a lot more. This one lasted 9 months consisting of once-per-month use. Batteries are not the issue, as many other reviewers have noted. I guess I have to lower my expectations and consider this a disposable product, in which case the price isn't terrible.

My husband and I used our thermometer for the first time in father's day while making steaks on the grill. It was super easy to use, provides a quick temp read, and is also magnetic so we can keep it on the fridge. I'm really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product to others!

I ordered this thermometer to replace the one my wife left in the oven while roasting some meat. It arrived today. I used it to check the temps on the steaks I was grilling. I dawdled too long before deciding to check the temperature and was shocked how high the temps were. Unfortunately for me the temperature reading was accurate (and quick). The overcooked steaks were my fault, this thermometer was just the bearer of the bad news. It did what a thermometer is supposed to do. I think I can trust its readings in the future.I like the fact that the display correctly adjusts for the orientation of the body. I don't have to try to read it upside down while holding it over a hot grill.Hopefully my wife will treat it with a little more respect than she did the last one.

This item was perfectly fine until it stopped working completely. It wasn't abused, kept it away from any harm, and one day it just no longer worked. Changed the battery twice without luck. It's a shame but useless if it doesn't even go on!

I bought this thermometer last November and it worked well for a few months. I recommended it to my mother shortly after I purchased it and she bought one as well. Both thermometers no longer work: will not turn on. Attempted to replace battery (despite the fact that this should not be required after such a short storage time) without success. No indication as to why it's failed: both have been stored closed in closed, clear, dry drawers.Extremely frustrating to discover one spend money on a useless device especially when needed.

Stopped working after three weeks and used it few times. The temperature readings were accurate enough when worked. Tried changing the battery, but no luck. Unfortunately, I am past the return period of 30 days.

Do not buy this - it is made of plastic - first time I used it in a roast it shifted a little in the oven and was touching the roasting pan - and promptly melted away some of the plastic, not the nest product to put in an oven when it is plastic. Would definitely not recommend.

Read the reviews and it seemed like a good product. Was amazing for the time that it worked. Stopped working after 3 weeks of use. It never turned back on
