worth every penny..........
Just bought the Kindle version and speed-read the first couple chapters. I've already got my money's worth. Perhaps because I have never considered myself to be a business-minded person, this book is providing me with concrete advice and ideas for expanding my love and knowledge of horses into something I can potentially share with others and make some profit too---or at least have my passions paid for and my own animals comfortably provided for. Much appreciation to the author for taking her time to share.

Good Info
This is a good book for anyone who wants to know basics of starting a horse business. There is a lot missing. But good read, and samples of paperwork you need to have.

Helpful book gives new ideas for an "old dog"
Having been in the borse business all my life, I thought I would purchase this book to see if I could pick up a few new ideas as even one new thought will pay for the book, right? It is very thoughtfully written with concern for safety, income and creativity. Will be on the top of my reading pile for some time as I have already added a couple ideas for next year's camps. For those in the horse business and wanting to increase their income potential, this is a well recommended book.Corinne LoganWillows Edge FarmBothell, WA

Outdated, Uninformated, and Unethical Practices
I was looking for a book that would give me an idea of permits, IRS information, and other business challenges associated with running a barn, but instead wasted time and money on an outdated, uninformative book that encourages unethical practices like taking your old school horse to auction without even mentioning the likelihood of them getting sold for slaughter. The book also dates itself in one budget analysis example she uses $5/hr as the rate for barn staff.A lot o f the "tips" are just plain common sense, like making sure your horses are vaccinated...

A very interesting and informative book with lots of useful ideas considering it is an American book for Americans.

A must for any riding school!
Fantastic book really worth purchasing if you run a riding school. I originally had the first edition then bought this new addition. It has been my go to guide.
