Requires slight modification: works great and sturdy
Looking at the picture I had a feeling I'd need to stretch out the outer most prong and reading the comments of others confirmed this was required. I used a pair of clip ring pliers to bend out the top ring of spring steel. I also sharpened it with a dremel. Pulled out a patch with ease while cleaning my TC Hawken in .50 cal.It's built very sturdy too.

Worked Ok
It worked but would work better if the wire opening gap to start into the cloth was wider. Had to push and turn it a lot to finally get it to bite into cloth. I opened it slightly and it worked perfectly.

Wonder Worm
This patch worm is very well made. The worm I had would not grasp the patch that was stuck in the barrel. I ordered this one, and when it arrived, it easily pull the patch out. If you don't have one this is the one to have.

Well made but I ordered the wrong screw thread, will make an adapter. Patch worm can come in handy just in case.

Worked as advertised to retrieve cleaning patches that came off the jag. It doesn't get any easier than this to ensure no patches are left in the bottom of the barrel!
