Hyde Tack Cloth, 18-Inch x 36-Inch

This was my first experience with tack cloth- previously I had just used a damp wash cloth to remove grit and loose dirt before painting. This cloth seems to work well, though it is just muslin with a waxy coating. I did find the waxiness unpleasant initially, and it seemed to leave a residue on my hands. However, after the first use I rinsed the cloth out and that sensation was reduced. I used the cloth after I sanded a chair in preparation for painting. The tack cloth picked up a lot of powdery residue.

I’m just now getting into home improvement projects but overall, this worked very well. I used it to prep before painting tile. Sticky enough to pick up dust before painting. Definitely recommend.

It might seem like a tiny cloth but it has some material in it that helps clean walls of debris prior to painting. I was actually able to use it for a few projects, days apart.

this was just a piece of what looks like medical gauze. Weird.

This item does the job. It made my particular task easier.

I just received this tack cloth which I purchased for my paintings. I needed to get all the dust off before varnishing and these are amazing. I also used it on my furniture and then rinsed it off and can continue to use it.
